🐕My Personality🐕

Hi, I’m Lily.
I might come across as reserved at first, but I promise I’m not distant—I’m just learning what it means to feel safe. If you offer me a treat, I’ll gladly take it, and if you give me time, I’ll open my heart to you. Once we’re friends, I’m as affectionate as can be! I’ll even roll onto my back to show you my belly and my trust.

I love to play with other dogs, especially the big ones, and I’m always ready to say hello, even to new canine friends. My playful spirit shines the brightest when I’m with other pups, it helps me feel brave and free.

🐕Social Skills🐶

  • With People: I’m cautious around strangers, but not distant. I don’t have much experience with kids under 13 years old, so a quieter, more predictable home would help me feel secure. I used to be very scared of being touched, but now I can even be picked up or show my belly especially by those I know well.
  • With Dogs: I’m a social girl who enjoys meeting new dogs and playing. I especially enjoy the company of larger pups.
  • With Cats: I haven’t met any cats yet, so I can’t say for sure how I’d feel around them. But with slow introduction, I think we can be a good housemate!

🔋Energy and Activities🎲

I get excited for outdoor time and may pull on the leash a bit, but I follow your lead once I’ve settled in! I have lots of joy to share and I will be enjoying stretching my legs. Afterward, I like to relax and rest peacefully by your side

🏠Life at Home💕

I’m a sweet and watchful pup when someone new comes near the house, I’ll bark to let you know that they are here! I do like to keep an eye out and protect the space I feel safe in.

I prefer going potty outdoors and have good habits in that department. I don’t guard food and I’m happy to share. That said, I’m still learning about cars and kennel: I get motion sickness during rides and whine a little in the kennel. With patient, positive training, I believe I’ll grow more comfortable in both.

💊My Health🏥

  • I’ve completed my 5-round vaccination series, with boosters scheduled for May 2025.
  • My heartworm test in September 2024 came back negative.
  • I’ve been spayed and have no known health concerns.

🏠My Ideal Home💕

I grew up tethered in a field, forced to guard crops before I even understood the world around me. My days were filled with pain—the man who owned me beat me with a stick, day and night. When I was first rescued, I didn’t know how to trust people, especially men—and I’m sure you can understand why.

But step by step, I’ve been learning that not all hands hurt. With time and patience, I’ve discovered kindness, and now, I shower the people I trust with love. Yes, I still can trust—because deep down, I never stopped hoping.

Because of my early experiences, I need a calm, understanding home—one where I’m never rushed, but always supported. Here's what would help me feel at ease:

- A patient family who allows me to set the pace as I learn to trust.

- A peaceful environment without too much hustle and bustle.

- A home that’s open to a little pre-adoption foster-based training, even just for a short while, would help me transition beautifully.

I’d love a doggy sibling, especially one who’s calm and confident!

I may have come from a place of fear, but I’m on a journey toward love and belonging. If you’re the kind of person who sees not just what a dog has been through, but who she’s becoming—I’d love to meet you. I have so much love to give, and I’m just waiting for the right heart to give it to. 🐾💛
