🍊All About Me☘️
Hello, I’m Cinnamon, an adorable 1-year-old SharPei mix boy eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. We’re a charming bunch! While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, my other siblings and I are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit.
I’m a social butterfly, adoring people so much. I allow strangers to touch or hug me. I’m a very nice, innocent soul. And I’m an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. I still need to learn how to eat snacks. When I go for a walk, my tail goes down in unfamiliar places. I wish I had a family who could teach me the taste of delicious snacks and the joy of walking. I will be your lovely and good family member.
Personality:
- Shy at first, but once he warms up, he can’t get enough pets
- Loves being near his people, though he’ll happily sneak off if he finds a good toy
- Super affectionate once he feels comfortable. After a little patience and space, he’ll be the one chasing you down for kisses
Good with other dogs:
- Very curious and polite, usually just a quick sniff, and he’s good to go
- Intimidated by unfamiliar dogs barking, will keep his distance
- Enjoys play fighting and a game of chase with friendly dogs
Good with kids: unknown
Good with cats: unknown
House-trained:
- Doing well with outdoor training as long as he gets regular potty breaks
Energy level:
- Moderate: will be happy to go on a nice long walk and loves zooming around the yard, but he’s equally happy to nap anywhere, anytime
Leash trained:
- Working on loose leash walking
- Doesn’t chase squirrels or birds and is not reactive
- Can get startled by sudden noises
Barking:
- As he settles in, he’ll bark when he hears footsteps approaching, but quiets down after a quick greeting
- Generally quiet at home, does not bark at people/dogs passing by, though he tends to mirror other dogs’ barking
Car travel:
- Easygoing: he’ll either curl up in the backseat or happily snuggle in a passenger’s lap
