🐕 MY RESCUE STORY🐕

Hi there! My name is Olivia. Life hasn’t been easy for me—I was abandoned after my previous owners went through a divorce and sadly, I was left severely neglected. Even though they no longer cared for me, they refused to surrender me for four long months. By the time I was rescued, I was suffering from extreme malnutrition and too weak to eat for two whole weeks. But those days are behind me now. Thanks to kind-hearted rescuers, I’ve been given a second chance—and I’m more than ready to start a new chapter filled with love, care, and the warmth of a forever family. I may have had a rough start, but I’m full of hope and so excited to find the place I truly belong.

🐕 MY PERSONALITY🐕

I absolutely adore people and love being the center of attention! Don’t let my bigger size fool you—I’m a total cuddle bug and you can scoop me right up. I get along great with big dogs and pups my size, and I’ve got so much love to give. I know I’m full of potential, and I can’t wait to grow, thrive, and share my heart with my forever family!

 

🐕 MY SOCIAL SKILLS🐕

With People: I’m a true people-lover—I’ll happily trot up to strangers for pets and affection! You can pick me up easily, and I’ll often roll over to show my belly as a sign of trust. I don’t guard my food around people either. Because of my past, I tend to get attached to my caregiver and may show some separation anxiety. With gentle guidance and patience, I’ll settle in beautifully. I just need to feel safe and know I won’t be abandoned again.

 

With Dogs:  I get along well with bigger dogs or those my size, but I’m definitely more of a people pup. I enjoy quick, polite greetings with other dogs, but I usually prefer to keep to myself. I can get a little jealous if another dog is getting too much attention from my person, so slow and thoughtful introductions are best. I’m not the best match for small dogs—maybe due to past experiences—so I’ll need extra supervision around them. I also prefer to eat without other dogs nearby. If another pup gets too close to my food, I may growl to let them know I need space. Feeding me separately is the best way to keep things calm and happy.

 

With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react. Since I can be a bit picky with small dogs, I’d do best in a home without small animals.

 

🔋 ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES 🎲

I have a lovely moderate energy level—I’m the best of both worlds! I enjoy getting outside for some fun and fresh air, whether it’s a nice walk or a bit of playtime. But once we’re home, I’m more than happy to curl up beside you and be your cozy little shadow. I know when to be active and when it’s time to just relax and enjoy the quiet moments together.

 

🎲TRAINING & HABITS⭐

I walk well on leash and seem to have lots of experience following my handler’s lead—I don’t pull much and enjoy staying close. I don’t guard my food with people, but I can get a little protective when other dogs are nearby, so I’ll do best with separate feeding times and some gentle management to keep things peaceful.

 

Because of my neglected past, I’ve developed a strong bond with my caretaker and can show signs of separation anxiety. I just need reassurance that I won’t be abandoned again. I’m still learning how to rest calmly in my kennel and may whine or bark when I want attention, but with patience and consistency, I know I’ll improve.

 

I’m both potty-trained indoors and outdoors, but with a regular walk schedule, I’ll happily stick to outdoor potty. I’m still very skinny and lacking muscle from my neglected past, so I’ll need lots of love, nutritious meals, and regular exercise to regain my strength and thrive.

 

I absolutely love attention and can get a little jealous if other dogs are getting it instead of me. Because of this, and my sensitivity around food and space, I’d do best as the only dog in the home, where I can be your one-and-only cuddle bug. With your guidance and support, I’ll blossom into the amazing companion I’m meant to be.
