📩 Rescue Story
Chunsim was found at the Siheung City Shelter in Korea, where she had been placed on the euthanasia list through no fault of her own. Despite her gentle nature, she was running out of time. Our rescue team stepped in on the very day she was scheduled for euthanasia, giving her a second chance at life.
🥰 Her Personality
Chunsim is a sweet, gentle, and sociable dog. She has a playful puppy energy, but after outdoor activities she settles down nicely. She would love to go to some dog parks! She does not guard food, toys from people or other dogs, and while she sometimes barks in unfamiliar situations, consistent training can help her grow into a perfect adult dog!
🐶 Her Social Skills
- With People: She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up (especially with some treats 🤤), she becomes affectionate. She enjoys being petted, will happily show her belly for rubs. She just loves people! She hasn’t met young children, but a little time to warm up, she will do very well.
- With Other Dogs: She is very friendly toward other dogs, both familiar and new, regardless of their size. She loves to greet and play with them. Also, she avoids conflicts and chooses peace. Her easygoing and social nature makes her a wonderful companion for other dogs.
- With Cats: Her reactions with cats are unknown, but given her gentle and friendly behavior with dogs, it is likely that with time and proper introductions she could adapt well with cats.
🦮 Walking & Outdoor Behavior
- Has a high energy level and needs regular outdoor exercise to stay balanced.
- Tends to pull on the leash but follows her handler well and should improve with leash training.
- Loud traffic can make her nervous, but she can get used to it with patience and exposure.
👣 Training & Habits
- House-trained: uses both indoor pee pads and outdoors, though she prefers outdoor potty.
- Calm and relaxed in a kennel.
- May bark to get attention or in new environment, but this is expected at her age and can be improved with training.
- Gentle, non-possessive around food.
🏡 Ideal Home
- Active Lifestyle: With puppy energy level, she will do best with a family who can provide regular walks, playtime, and outdoor activities.
- Loving and Patient Family: A loving home that gives her time to warm up to a new environment and continue her basic puppy training would be perfect!
- Safe and Caring Home: A secure and affectionate home where she feels safe and comfortable is just what she needs.
