🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from the Dong-gu municipal shelter, where I had been listed for euthanasia. A private rescuer in Busan saved me just in time and has been caring for me since then. Thanks to this rescue, I now have a second chance at life and am waiting for a family who will love me.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Hi, I am Maple. I’m still like a little puppy—innocent, playful, and full of joy. I love everyone, whether I just met them or see them every day. I give kisses, snuggle, and ask for playtime, though I can get a bit too excited sometimes. I get along with most dogs, but I don’t do well with one particular male dog. I can be a little silly and hyper, but I’m full of love and always ready to make you smile!

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I’m very affectionate, and I don’t just approach the people I know—I also like to go up to new people, gently lean my body against them, and let them pet me easily. I haven’t had experience meeting children under 13 yet. You can lift me by putting your arms under my belly, and once I feel close to you, I even show you my tummy.

· With Dogs: I’m very social with other dogs. I approach not only dogs I know but also unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I’m generally friendly toward dogs that are a similar size to me. Even if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to walk away and avoid conflict.

· With Cats: I haven’t been tested with cats, so there is no observed information about my reactions to them.

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I’m somewhere between moderate and high energy. I love being outdoors and need a good amount of activity, and once I’ve had enough exercise, I can settle down calmly. I tend to pull on the leash, but I generally follow my person well.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs. When I want something, I sometimes bark to ask for it. I tend to bark at strangers when I see them. I stay calm and quiet when I’m in a kennel. I can use both indoor pee pads and go potty outside. As a male dog, I may try to mark when I’m in a new environment.

 

🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡

My ideal home is a loving family where I get plenty of attention, playtime, and outdoor exercise. I would do best in a home with most dogs, but no dogs like the one male I don’t get along with. I’d love a family that can handle my playful energy and give me lots of love and cuddles.

 

💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌

I’m very adorable and cute, and I show lots of affection—sometimes a bit too much—so I’d be perfect for someone who loves a very loving dog. I’m a Level 2 rescue dog, which means I’m friendly and social with people and other animals, but I may do best with an adopter who has some experience in new situations. I would thrive in a home where I can run freely, play a lot, and go on hikes.
