🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued from an illegal dog farm, where I was confined to a metal cage and desperately waiting for someone to give me a chance. When rescuers finally arrived, I clung tightly to the cage door, almost as if I knew they were there to save me and was begging to be taken with them.
Thankfully, that heartbreaking chapter of my life is finally behind me. I’m safe now and learning what it feels like to be cared for, but my journey isn’t complete just yet. I’m ready to begin a brand new chapter with a forever family who will cherish me, show me the world beyond those cage walls, and give me the loving home I’ve always deserved.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Because of my difficult past, I can be shy at first and am still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. But I’m young, adaptable, and incredibly resilient, and my confidence continues to grow every day.
Underneath my initial shyness, I’m an incredibly sweet and gentle girl who genuinely enjoys being around people. Once I realize I’m safe with you, it doesn’t take long for my affectionate side to come shining through. With a little patience, encouragement, and love, I have so much potential to blossom into a confident and devoted companion.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but tasty treats are a great way to start earning my trust, and I’ll happily take them right from your hand. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up. I may not be ready for pets immediately, so I appreciate having a little time and space to get to know you first. Once I realize I’m safe, though, my sweet and affectionate side begins to shine, and I’ll happily enjoy pets, cuddles, and loving attention from the people I trust.
· With Dogs: While I can be shy around people at first, I really come alive around my dog friends! I love meeting new dogs, making friends, and enjoying playtime together. I have a gentle and peaceful nature, so even if another dog gets a little pushy or rude, I prefer to calmly walk away rather than engage in conflict. I would likely thrive with a friendly, confident canine sibling who can help show me the ropes and give me an extra boost of confidence as I adjust to my new life.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I’m still building my leash skills and can pull at times, but overall I follow my handler’s lead nicely and continue improving with practice. I don’t guard my food from people, though I can be a little sensitive if another dog approaches while I’m eating, so I appreciate having my own peaceful space during mealtimes.
I may occasionally bark when I’m looking for attention, but overall I’m a quiet girl and already know how to settle calmly in my kennel. I currently potty both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. When I’m somewhere unfamiliar, I may seek out a quiet corner where I can feel safe and observe everything around me. Once I’ve had time to adjust and understand that I’m safe, I gradually become more comfortable and confident.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment
• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout
• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together
• A family that will love and cherish me forever
• Understanding of my past and willing to be patient while I come out of my shell
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
I’ve been through a lot in my young life, so I’m still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. I may need some extra time and patience in the beginning, especially in unfamiliar environments where I might look for a quiet corner to feel secure. But underneath my shyness is an incredibly sweet, gentle, and resilient girl with so much potential.
My dog friends bring out a more confident side of me, and I love playing and socializing with them. I would likely thrive with a friendly, confident canine sibling who can show me the ropes and help me feel more secure. Give me the time to settle in at my own pace, and you’ll get to watch my confidence grow and my affectionate personality blossom more and more each day.
