🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was found neglected in a rural area, living next door to Nacho, who was also being left without proper care. Thankfully, rescuers found me too and brought me to safety, giving me the chance to experience the care and kindness I had been missing. Now, I’m ready to leave those days behind and begin a brighter new chapter with a loving forever family.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Hi, I’m Cheesebam! I’m a sweet, energetic pup with a whole lot of enthusiasm packed into one little body. I still have that wonderfully chaotic puppy energy—I’m active, curious, and ready to go! I also have many of the classic traits you might expect from a Jack Russell Terrier, so I’d be happiest with a family who genuinely enjoys an active lifestyle and is excited to have a lively young companion by their side.

I have a big appetite to match my big energy, and staying active is definitely important for me. I would love to have opportunities to move, explore, play, and put all that youthful energy to good use. If hiking and outdoor adventures are already part of your routine, I could be an especially fun companion to bring along.

I’d thrive with a family who looks at my energetic puppy personality and thinks, “That sounds like fun!” I’ll need people who are ready to continue my training and socialization while giving me plenty of appropriate physical activity and engagement. In return, you’ll get a spirited, sweet young companion who has already shown that he can learn and improve with experience—and who would be thrilled to grow up alongside a family that loves being just as active as he is.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I’m comfortable approaching both familiar faces and new people for attention. I enjoy leaning in for affection and am happy to be petted, and treats make it even easier for me to warm up and connect with someone new. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly.

· With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally do well with dogs around my own size. However, if another dog challenges or provokes me, I may respond rather than back away, so careful and gradual introductions are important when I’m meeting a new dog for the first time.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a high energy level – I thrive with plenty of outdoor activity and exercise. Once I’ve had a good opportunity to burn off my energy, I’m able to settle down and relax.

I can pull on the leash at times, but overall, I follow my person well and respond to their guidance on walks.

I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs

I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel

I’m accustomed to doing my business outdoors and generally prefer outdoor potty breaks.
