🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was found neglected in a neighborhood, where I had been living without the care and security I needed. I’m also the mom of Lemon, Kiwi, Lime, and Papaya, and thankfully, rescue gave us the chance to move forward toward safer, brighter futures. Now, I’m ready for a new chapter of my own and hope to find a loving forever family.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Hi, I’m Sallang! I’m a beautiful, fluffy Jindo girl with a gorgeous full tail and a bright, cheerful presence. I have that lovely Jindo balance of enjoying activity without being overwhelmingly high-energy. I especially enjoy going for walks, and I’m already a good walking companion. I’m also a very quiet girl—my rescuers have hardly ever heard me bark.

When we first meet, I might stand back and look at you with a slightly puzzled expression while I decide what I think. I can be a little shy with strangers, but luckily, there’s a pretty reliable shortcut to my heart: treats! I absolutely love food, and a tasty snack can help me relax and warm up surprisingly quickly. In fact, I once saw the dog next door getting a treat and decided it looked so good that I jumped right over the kennel divider to investigate!

Once we’re friends, my personality changes completely. That reserved first impression gives way to a wonderfully silly, affectionate, and charming girl with plenty of personality. I become much more expressive and loving once I’m comfortable, so giving me a little time at the beginning is well worth it. Behind that initial Jindo reserve is a cheerful girl with a goofy side just waiting to come out.

Give me a little time to choose you, and you may soon find yourself wondering where that reserved girl went—and how she turned into such a lovable character.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but treats help me warm up quickly, and it usually doesn’t take long before I’m comfortable being petted. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.

· With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching dogs to say hello, but I generally don’t show much interest in interacting beyond a friendly greeting. I tend to prefer keeping to myself rather than engaging in play with other dogs.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.

I have plenty of experience with walks and have good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I’m comfortable with people around my food and don’t show any food guarding toward them, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating.

I rarely bark

I settle calmly in a kennel

I am comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
