🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from a shelter after being placed at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and gave me a second chance, bringing me somewhere safe where I could be cared for. Now, I’m leaving that uncertain chapter behind and looking forward to finding a loving forever family to share my future with.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Hi, I’m Bodri! I’m an exceptionally gentle, sweet-natured girl—the kind of dog whose quiet softness makes people instinctively want to wrap me in a hug and take care of me. I even have a few adorable details that make me extra memorable, including my pink nose and little pink paw pads. My rescuers often describe me as almost unbelievably gentle, and that tenderness really is at the heart of who I am.

I can be slightly reserved when I first meet someone, but I only need about ten minutes before I begin to relax. Once I realize I’m safe, I become comfortable surprisingly quickly. I’m also peaceful around other dogs. Whether they’re big or small, I don’t show aggression toward them and remain very gentle.

There’s something about me that seems to bring out people’s protective side. Maybe it’s my gentle expression, my quiet nature, or the way I patiently accept the world around me, but I’m the kind of dog people simply want to hold close and care for. I don’t need to be the loudest or most outgoing dog in the room to make an impression—sometimes the gentlest hearts are the ones that stay with you the longest.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but treats help me warm up quickly, and it usually doesn’t take long before I’m comfortable being petted. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.

· With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching dog friends to say hello, but I generally don’t show much interest in interacting beyond a friendly greeting or joining in play. I tend to keep to myself around other dogs, and if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to move away and avoid conflict.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.

I have plenty of experience with walks and have good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I’m comfortable with people around my food and don’t show any food guarding toward them, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating.

I rarely bark

I settle calmly in a kennel

I am comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.
