🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued from a city shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and gave me a second chance, bringing me to safety and giving me the care I needed. Now, I’m looking forward to leaving that uncertain chapter behind and finding a loving forever family to begin my new journey with.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I’m Yongsa! Of my siblings, I’m the most delicate and cautious one—but I also have an adorably funny way of showing it. When I’m getting to know someone, I might come over as if I’m inviting you to pet me, change my mind and run away, then circle right back to you again. I’m curious about people and want to connect; sometimes I just need a little extra time to gather my courage!
The good news is that the shyness doesn’t last long. In a comfortable environment where I’m allowed to settle in without pressure, I can relax quickly. Once I feel safe with someone, you’ll start seeing a very different side of me. I may initially dislike being picked up, but after I’ve had time to build trust, I can settle into being held and may even give you affectionate little kisses.
I’m also a smart little pup and already know “sit.” Once I’m comfortable enough to focus, I’m capable of learning and engaging with the people around me. With continued positive training and patient exposure to everyday experiences, I can keep building confidence as I grow.
I’d love a family who finds my little back-and-forth routine as charming as my rescuers do and understands that I’m not trying to play hard to get—I’m simply figuring out whether I’m brave enough yet! Give me a little space at first, let me approach at my own pace, and you may be surprised by how quickly the puppy who kept running away turns into the one happily cuddling in your arms and giving you kisses.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but I’ll accept treats as we get to know each other. I prefer to have a little more time to build trust before I’m comfortable being petted. I can be picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly, but I may feel uncomfortable at first and vocalize to let you know I want to be put back down, so it’s best to take things slowly and respect my comfort level. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.
· With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I generally don’t show much interest in interacting or playing right away. I tend to do my own thing around other dogs, though I can enjoy playing with dog friends once I’m comfortable with them.
· With Cats: I’ve lived in the same home with a cat for about two months, so I’m familiar and comfortable with having a cat companion around.
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.
I’m currently working on my leash skills and learning to feel more comfortable and confident on walks.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I’m comfortable with people around my food and don’t show any food guarding toward them, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating, so giving me my own space at mealtimes is best.
I rarely bark
I settle calmly in a kennel.
I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
