🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly been placed on the euthanasia list. My future was uncertain, and through no fault of my own, I was running out of time. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and gave me the second chance I desperately needed.

Now those scary days are behind me, and I finally have the opportunity to look forward to something much brighter. I’m ready to begin a brand new chapter with a forever family who will cherish me, keep me safe, and show me just how wonderful it feels to truly belong.

 

🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺

• All vaccinations up-to-date
• Healthy with no known health issues
• I arrived at the city pound with a severe injury to my right eye, and unfortunately, it could not be saved. I underwent surgery to have my eye removed and have since recovered well. Being a one-eyed pup certainly doesn’t slow me down!

 

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

I may have the adorable looks of a little Shiba, but I’m an incredibly gentle and sweet girl without much of the famous Shiba sass! No one knows exactly what my life looked like before I arrived at the city pound, but whatever I experienced, I haven’t let it take away my trust in people.

I warm up easily to everyone I meet and absolutely love being around people. I’ll happily follow my favorite humans around and come running when I hear someone call my name. Staff and volunteers are always complimenting my cute little fox-like face, and with my sweet personality to match, I’m pretty hard to resist! Despite everything I’ve been through, I remain a loving, trusting girl who is simply ready to belong to someone again.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I’m a friendly and affectionate girl who loves being around people! I happily accept pets and attention from everyone I meet and warm up easily to new friends. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly as my way of asking for some extra love and belly rubs.

· With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dogs and making new friends, especially those around my size. I have an incredibly gentle and peaceful personality, and even when another dog gets a little pushy, I’d much rather calmly walk away than get involved in any conflict. I can actually be a bit of a pushover sometimes. Even if another dog steals my treat, I’ll simply let them have it rather than make a fuss! I’m truly a softhearted girl who prefers keeping the peace with my dog friends.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely, making me an enjoyable walking companion. I have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I’m also a quiet girl who rarely barks and already knows how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors.

I genuinely love being around people and enjoy having my favorite humans nearby. I know that once I find my forever family, I’ll form a strong and loving bond with them. And when I’m feeling especially happy, you might catch me rolling around in the grass and rubbing my back with pure joy. It’s one of my favorite ways to celebrate a good day!

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:

I’m a gentle, affectionate girl who has been given a very special second chance at life. Although I lost my right eye after arriving at the city pound with a severe injury, being a one eyed pup doesn’t hold me back at all. I navigate the world comfortably and enjoy life just like any other dog.

I may have the adorable fox like looks of a Shiba, but I’m a softhearted girl who loves people and prefers keeping the peace with my dog friends. I’ll happily follow my favorite humans around, come running when you call my name, and roll over for belly rubs once I’m comfortable. When I’m especially happy, you’ll even catch me rolling around in the grass with pure joy! After everything I’ve experienced, I haven’t lost my trust in people. I’m ready to form a deep bond with my forever family and finally spend the rest of my life knowing I’m safe, cherished, and home.
