🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly been placed on the euthanasia list. Through no fault of my own, I was running out of time and my future was uncertain. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me the second chance I desperately needed.
Those scary days are behind me now, and I’m ready to look toward a much brighter future. All I’m missing is a forever family who will cherish me, keep me safe, and love me as a true member of the family for the rest of my life.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
When I first arrived at the care facility, everything felt unfamiliar and scary. I was understandably on guard, had trouble settling down, and would bark when I felt nervous or unsure. I simply needed some time to realize that I was finally somewhere safe.
With patience and kindness, I gradually began to open up, and I’ve already come such a long way! Now I approach people on my own and happily show off my gentle, sweet, and affectionate personality. I also get along wonderfully with my dog friends. I just need a little time and understanding when entering a new environment, and once I know I can trust you and feel safe, my loving personality truly shines.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but a few tasty treats are a great way to win me over! I simply need some time to observe my surroundings and feel safe before my sweet personality starts to shine.
I’m not comfortable being picked up right away, so I’ll appreciate a family who lets me build trust at my own pace before trying to hold me. Once I’ve had time to settle into my new environment and understand that I’m safe, I become much more relaxed, trusting, and affectionate.
· With Dogs: I’m friendly with my dog friends and enjoy greeting new dogs! Because I can be a little sensitive in unfamiliar environments, I may need some time to observe, settle in, and feel safe before I’m completely comfortable. When I first arrived at the care facility, I needed that adjustment period too, but once I realized I was safe, I blossomed beautifully. Now I get along well with all of my dog friends and enjoy being part of the group.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely, making me an enjoyable walking companion. I don’t guard my food from people, but I can be a little sensitive when other dogs approach during mealtimes, so I appreciate having my own peaceful space to eat. I’m generally a quiet girl who rarely barks, although I may occasionally use my voice when I’m looking for some extra attention. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors.
During my profile photoshoot, it only took me about 10 minutes to feel comfortable! Once I realized I was surrounded by kind people, I started rubbing my face against the volunteers and staff and showing them my affectionate side. Everyone says I’m even more beautiful in person, but you’ll just have to meet me and see for yourself!
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment
• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout
• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together
• A family that will love and cherish me forever
• A family that understands I just need some time to feel comfortable in new environments and is willing to be patient while I come out of my shell
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
I’m a gentle and affectionate girl who simply needs a little time to feel safe in new surroundings. I may seem cautious at first, but don’t let my initial shyness fool you. With patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats, I can open up surprisingly quickly. During my profile photoshoot, it took me only about 10 minutes before I was happily rubbing my face against the volunteers and asking for affection!
I’ve already shown everyone at the care facility how beautifully I can blossom once I feel secure. I now approach people on my own, get along wonderfully with my dog friends, and let my sweet personality shine. I’m looking for a patient family who understands that I may need a little adjustment period before feeling completely at home. Give me that time, and you’ll discover a beautiful, loving girl who has been waiting for a family she can finally trust and call her own.
