🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued in 2025 from a place where dogs were being used for grooming practice and breeding. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me the chance to experience kindness, comfort, and proper care. Now, I’m ready to leave that chapter behind and look forward to a peaceful new beginning with a loving forever family.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I’m Bamdong! I’m a beautiful, fluffy dog with a rich chocolate-colored coat and bright, sparkling eyes that make me look a little like a stuffed animal. My personality is generally just as soft as my appearance—I tend to have a calm, manageable energy level and am quiet and well-behaved
I can look shy when I first find myself in an unfamiliar environment. During an outdoor photo session, I seemed a little unsure, although I was still happy to accept treats. Once we moved indoors where I felt more comfortable, I relaxed remarkably quickly. Before long, I could be picked up, sit on someone’s lap, and happily enjoy treats there. I like receiving attention, although sudden touches aren’t really my preference, so approaching me gently and letting me understand what’s happening first is the best way to help me feel comfortable.
I’m social with both people and other dogs, although I don’t necessarily become playful with every dog I meet. My everyday energy is fairly calm but put me together with a dog friend I really like and you may see my excitement level rise as I join in the fun!
I’d love a family who appreciates a thoughtful, intelligent dog and is willing to give me a gentle start while I learn their routine. I may begin by quietly observing, but once I feel secure, I’m capable of warming up quickly and enjoying closeness with my people. With patient handling, continued training, and plenty of positive experiences, I’m ready to leave my breeding-facility days behind and discover what it feels like to be a cherished companion in a home of my own.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but treats help me warm up quickly, and it usually doesn’t take long before I’m comfortable being petted. Once I feel at ease, I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.
· With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I can feel a little overwhelmed by dogs with very high energy, so I’m generally more comfortable with friends whose play style isn’t too intense.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.
I have plenty of walking experience and generally have good leash manners, following my person well without pulling. However, sudden movements or unexpected street noises can startle me, and I may struggle or try to bolt when frightened, so secure walking equipment, close supervision, and calm guidance are especially important to help keep me safe and build my confidence outdoors.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs
I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel.
I can get excited when I know it’s almost mealtime—I may jump up to ask for my food sooner, and when I’m very excited, I may occasionally grab at clothing. With consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to express my excitement.
I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
One thing my future family should know is that I’m more comfortable with women and can be fearful of men. Calm, respectful introductions and positive experiences at my own pace will give me the best opportunity to build confidence and learn that unfamiliar people can be safe.
