🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued in 2025 from a place where dogs were being used for grooming practice and breeding. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me the chance to experience kindness, comfort, and proper care. Now, I’m ready to leave that chapter behind and look forward to a peaceful new beginning with a loving forever family.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I’m Bamsik! I’m a sweet, people-loving pup with a beautiful light brown coat that was shaved for the summer, so just imagine how lovely I’ll look when all that fur grows back! What stands out even more than my appearance is how much I enjoy human companionship. I like staying close to my people and will happily follow someone from place to place like a little shadow.
With people I’m comfortable around, I’m wonderfully affectionate and tolerant of handling. When I took my photos, I happily accepted pets right away and eagerly took treats. I remained calm when I was picked up and even when I was held on my back, simply enjoying the attention. I’m very food-motivated too, which can be a helpful tool for training when I’m relaxed enough to engage. Speaking of training, I’m a clever little student and already know “sit” very well.
Despite having lived in extremely difficult conditions before my rescue, I still choose to seek people out and enjoy their affection. I’d love a family who will treasure that trusting nature while helping me become an increasingly confident and independent companion. Give me thoughtful guidance, plenty of positive experiences, and a secure place by your side, and I’ll be very happy to follow you into this next chapter—although I may need a little help learning that I don’t have to follow you absolutely everywhere!
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I enjoy approaching both familiar faces and new people for attention and affection. I tend to feel more comfortable with women, while men can make me nervous, so I may need a little extra time, patience, and gentle introductions to build trust with them. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.
· With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching unfamiliar dogs to say hello, and depending on the dog and the situation, I may sometimes enjoy playing while other times I prefer to keep to myself. If another dog challenges or provokes me, I may respond rather than back away, so calm and careful introductions are important. I can also become quite jealous around other dogs, so I would likely be happiest as the only dog in my future home, where I won’t need to share attention with another canine companion.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.
I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
My separation anxiety isn’t currently severe, but I may be prone to developing it, so gradually building up my comfort with alone time and maintaining a consistent routine will be important.
When there’s something I really want, I may use a little demand barking to let you know, but with consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate.
I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel
I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡

💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
I’m generally very comfortable with women, while my feelings about men can depend on the situation and the individual. At the center, I’ve shown significant fear toward unfamiliar men, and it has taken around two weeks for me to become comfortable with a male caregiver. If I encounter an unfamiliar man outdoors, I may become highly alert and difficult to redirect, remaining watchful until he is well out of sight. When I’m that nervous, even treats may not be enough to get my attention. On the other hand, during my profile evaluation I interacted comfortably with a man, showing that I am capable of having positive relationships with men when I feel safe.
Because I bond so strongly with people and love following them everywhere, it will also be important for my future family to help me practice being comfortable on my own from the beginning. Building independence gradually, rather than allowing me to become completely reliant on constant companionship, may help reduce the risk of separation-related difficulties later.
