🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly been placed on the euthanasia list. Through no fault of my own, I was running out of time and my future was uncertain. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me the second chance I desperately needed.

There’s also a little mystery to my story. Around the time I was rescued, another Boston Terrier boy who looked almost exactly like me was posted online. Volunteers and staff believe he may have been my sibling and that we possibly lived in the same home before being abandoned together. We may never know exactly what happened, but those uncertain days are behind me now.

When I was rescued, I was also dealing with a skin infection. With medicated baths, treatment, and lots of care, my skin has improved significantly and I’m doing so much better. Now I’m ready to focus on the future and find a forever family who will cherish me, keep me safe, and love me as a true member of the family.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

I’m a super friendly and affectionate girl who absolutely loves people! I’m happiest when I’m getting attention and will gladly shower you with kisses and love. I’m so social that I’ll happily follow people around even when we’ve only just met, just because I enjoy being close to my humans.

I get along well with my dog friends too, but I’m definitely a people’s pup at heart. Human companionship is where I truly thrive, and if you’re looking for a loving little shadow who will happily follow you around and fill your days with affection, I might just be your girl!

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I’m super friendly with people and love greeting everyone I meet! I happily soak up pets, affection, and attention and am always excited to make a new human friend. I’m comfortable being picked up and held, and once I feel at ease with you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly for some extra love and belly rubs.

· With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dogs and making friends, but I’m definitely more of a people’s pup at heart! I prefer to take my time rather than jumping straight into play and am perfectly happy doing my own thing. When I do play, I enjoy spending time with dog friends who match my energy and respect my space.

I’m a natural peacekeeper and get along well with the dogs at the care facility. I’m not interested in drama and would much rather keep things calm, friendly, and easygoing.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely, making me an enjoyable walking companion. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs.

I don’t currently show signs of separation anxiety, but because I’m such a people oriented girl who forms strong bonds, I may become deeply attached to my forever family. Helping me build healthy independence from the beginning will help me stay confident and comfortable even when my favourite people aren’t right beside me. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors.

 

🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:

• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment

• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout

• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together

• A family that will love and cherish me forever

• Ideally, I’m looking for a family who is familiar with Boston Terriers or willing to learn about their unique needs, especially when it comes to skin care. Since I have sensitive skin and a history of skin issues, I’ll thrive with a family who can keep an eye on my skin and provide the ongoing care I need to stay comfortable and healthy.

 

💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌

I’m a loving little people’s pup with so much affection to give. It’s heartbreaking to think that I may have once known the comfort of a home, only to somehow find myself abandoned and facing an uncertain future at a city pound. Despite everything, I remain an incredibly sweet and trusting girl who wants nothing more than to be close to people, follow them around, give kisses, and soak up all the love I can get.

Because I bond deeply with my favourite humans, my future family should continue helping me build healthy independence as I settle in. I also have sensitive skin and a history of skin issues, so I would especially love a family familiar with Boston Terriers or someone committed to understanding my ongoing skin care needs.

I’ve already lost a home once. This time, I’m looking for a family who will truly cherish me and make sure I never have to wonder where I belong again.
