🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued from a city shelter’s euthanasia list, just when my future was uncertain. Thanks to the rescuers who stepped in for me, I was brought to safety and given a second chance surrounded by care and kindness. Since then, I’ve been waiting for the next chapter of my journey—a loving forever family to share my future with.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I’m Ueong! Photos don’t quite do me justice—I’m even more handsome and adorable in person! When I was first rescued, I was quite wary of unfamiliar people but with time, maturity, socialization, and experience living in a home environment, though, I’ve become a much more confident dog! These days, meeting unfamiliar people, walking in new places, and even spending time in busier environments with lots of people are no longer such big challenges for me. I do take my role as household security rather seriously—if someone comes close to the outside of my yard, I may bark boldly to announce that I’ve noticed them and that this is, in fact, my property. At home, I have some of the qualities people especially appreciate in a mature Jindo. I’m naturally clean, independent, and comfortable having my own space without constantly needing entertainment or attention.
With other dogs, I’m about as easygoing as they come. Big dogs, little dogs, dogs my own size—I get along peacefully with all kinds and have never been known to start a fight. In fact, if other dogs get into an argument, you won’t find me jumping into the action. I’m much more likely to stand safely off to the side and watch the drama unfold from a respectable distance. Brave yard guardian? Absolutely. Volunteer dog fight referee? No, thank you!
I’d be a wonderful match for someone who appreciates the clean, thoughtful, independent nature of a Jindo while still wanting a dog who can live harmoniously with friends and enjoy life out in the world. I’ve spent a long time learning how to be ready for a home. Now I’m hoping the next place I settle into will be with family I’ve been waiting all this time to find.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but treats help me warm up quickly, and it usually doesn’t take long before I’m comfortable being petted. Once I get to know and trust you, I may roll over and show you my belly! Being picked up isn’t something I’m comfortable with, so I prefer to keep my paws on the ground and have that boundary respected. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.
· With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I tend to be easygoing in my interactions, and if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to move away and avoid conflict.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.
I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs
I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel.
I may bark when I see someone unfamiliar or use a little demand barking when there’s something I want, but with consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate and respond to new people.
I’m accustomed to doing my business outdoors and generally prefer outdoor potty breaks.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
