🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued from the scene of a wildfire in 2025, where I was caught in a frightening and uncertain situation. Thankfully, rescuers brought me to safety and gave me the care and security I needed to begin again. Now, with that chapter behind me, I’m looking forward to a peaceful new beginning and finding a loving forever family to share my future with.

Hi, I’m Lucas! I’m an exceptionally friendly, good-natured boy who seems to believe that strangers are simply friends I haven’t met yet. I’m comfortable meeting new people and absolutely love being close to them—in fact, taking my profile photos was a bit of a challenge because I kept coming right up to the people behind the camera! Personal space isn’t nearly as interesting to me as being wherever the humans are. I’m also wonderfully easygoing with other dogs. I have good social skills, and even if another dog tries to provoke me, I’m patient and tend to tolerate it rather than responding or escalating the situation.
Treats are another very important part of my life! I’m highly food-motivated and can focus beautifully when there’s something tasty involved, which should make positive-reinforcement training especially fun with me. I already know “sit” very well. “Wait,” on the other hand, is still a work in progress—apparently knowing there’s a treat nearby makes patience considerably more difficult! With my focus and enthusiasm for food, though, I have plenty of motivation to keep learning.
I’d be a wonderful match for a family looking for a social companion who genuinely enjoys being part of the action. I bring affection and enthusiasm for people that you may never have to wonder where I am. Chances are, I’ll be right beside you, probably sitting beautifully and wondering if now might finally be the right time for that treat.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I’m naturally friendly and affectionate with people, and I’m happy to approach both familiar faces and new people for attention. I enjoy leaning in for affection and am comfortable being petted, even by someone I’ve just met. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.
· With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally do well with dogs around my own size and tend to be easygoing in my interactions. If another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to move away and avoid conflict.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown

I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.
I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.
