🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was only about two to three weeks old when rescuers found me while they were trying to save my mom, who had been wandering with a serious injury from a snare. With temperatures dropping quickly, I was far too young and vulnerable to remain outside, so I was brought to safety as well. Thanks to that timely rescue, I was given the chance to grow up surrounded by care, and now I’m looking forward to a brighter future with a loving forever family.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I’m Nicole! I’m still a young puppy, and underneath my cautious side is a very gentle girl with plenty of adorable puppy personality waiting to come out. I may be sensitive and timid in unfamiliar environments, so new places and major changes can feel overwhelming at first.
Although I may be nervous at first, I’m naturally very gentle. Once I feel safe with someone, I have a wonderfully affectionate side too. One of my favorite places to be is sitting right on a person’s lap, and when the toys come out, you get to see just how young I really am! I absolutely love playing with toys, and watching me play brings out the silly, carefree puppy that can sometimes be hidden behind my shyness. I’ve even invented my own entertainment at the rescue center: I’m often spotted playing with my water bowl and happily splashing around!
I’m gentle, affectionate once I feel secure, wonderfully playful, and still young enough to have plenty to learn. Give me structure, patience, toys to play with, and a safe lap to climb into, and you’ll get to watch a cautious little puppy gradually discover just how much fun being part of a family can be.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be quite cautious around unfamiliar people and prefer to take some time to get to know someone before I’m comfortable being touched. I’ll accept treats while we build trust, and with patience and gentle interactions, I can usually warm up and become comfortable within a few days to about a week. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.
· With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally do well with dogs around my own size. If another dog challenges or provokes me, however, I may respond rather than back away, so calm and careful introductions are important when I’m meeting a new dog for the first time.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.
I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling. I’m most comfortable walking in quieter areas, as busy roads, sudden movements, and unexpected street noises can make me nervous. Calm walking routes, gentle reassurance, and gradual exposure to busier surroundings can help me feel safer and build confidence over time.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I’m comfortable with people around my food and don’t show food guarding toward them. My behaviour around other dogs at mealtimes is still being assessed because I’m currently fed separately, but I may growl or potentially get into a conflict if another dog approaches my food, so separate feeding is the safest approach for now.
When there’s something I really want, I may use demand barking to communicate, and I may also bark when I see someone unfamiliar. With consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to express myself.
I’m calm and settled in a kennel
During car rides, but I’m prone to motion sickness and may vomit after being in the car for about an hour.
I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.

💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
I’ll need careful support during the transition into a home as I’m still learning and growing. The current plan is for me to spend time in a foster home first, where I can gain household experience and continue my training before traveling overseas.
