🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued from an abusive environment where I was kept outside in a small cage, without the safe and loving home every dog deserves. Eventually, I ended up at a city pound, where overcrowding put me at risk of being placed on the euthanasia list.
Thankfully, rescuers stepped in before it was too late and brought me to safety. That difficult chapter of my life is finally behind me, and despite everything I’ve experienced, I still have so much love and trust to give.
Now I’m ready to leave my past behind and find a forever family who will show me what it truly means to feel safe, loved, and at home.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
I’m even cuter in person, and my unique markings make me especially hard to forget! The black fur around my eyes makes me look like I’m wearing an elegant masquerade mask, giving me a one-of-a-kind look.
I can be a tiny bit shy when we first meet, but it doesn’t take me long to warm up, especially if you have some tasty treats to share. I have a great appetite and a gentle, easygoing personality that makes me a lovely companion.
I’m also flexible when it comes to my future home. I could be perfectly happy as the only dog, soaking up all the love from my family, or I could happily share my home with a compatible dog sibling. All I really need is a loving family to call my own.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a teeny bit shy when we first meet, but I warm up very quickly, especially with a few tasty treats! Once I feel comfortable, I happily accept pets and affection and am comfortable being picked up and held.
Even during my profile photoshoot, it didn’t take me long to relax and show everyone my sweet, gentle personality. Just give me a little time to get to know you, and you’ll quickly see what an affectionate boy I can be.
· With Dogs: I’m a bit more independent when it comes to my dog friends. I get along well with the other dogs at the care facility and am happy to share my space with them, but I usually prefer doing my own thing rather than constantly playing or seeking their attention. What can I say? I’m a bit of an introvert!
I generally get along best with dogs around my size who respect my space and easygoing nature. I could happily live with a compatible dog sibling, but I’d also be perfectly content being the only dog in my forever home.
· With Cats: I previously lived with a cat for about a month while staying in temporary foster care and did well sharing my space with them. I’m generally independent and respectful of other animals, so with proper introductions, I may do well living with a calm cat who is comfortable around dogs.
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead well. I feel most comfortable walking in quieter areas, as loud noises and busy streets can still make me a little nervous. With patience and reassurance, I’m able to enjoy my walks at my own pace.
I have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I’m also a quiet boy who rarely barks and already know how to settle down and rest calmly in my kennel.
For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With a consistent routine in my forever home, I should continue adjusting nicely.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment
• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout
• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together
• A family that will love and cherish me forever
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
I’m a gentle, easygoing boy who prefers to keep the peace. I generally do best with dogs who have a similar calm energy, as very high energy dogs can sometimes overwhelm me. Even if another dog gets pushy or tries to take my food, I tend to let them rather than create any conflict.
Despite being young, I have a surprisingly calm and settled personality. I rarely bark and am perfectly happy relaxing quietly when nothing is going on.
For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With a consistent walking schedule in my forever home, I’m expected to naturally develop a preference for going outside.
