🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I ended up at a city pound after what appeared to be a long period of neglect. When I arrived, my fur was severely matted, making it clear that I hadn’t received the proper care and attention I deserved.

Thankfully, rescuers found me and brought me to safety. My difficult days are behind me now, and I’m finally getting the care and love I had been missing for so long.

Now I’m ready for a fresh start and a forever family who will make sure I always feel safe, cared for, and loved.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

I’m a super cute, tiny Maltipoo with a huge love for people! Being around humans brings me so much comfort, and I’m happiest when I can stay close to the volunteers and staff. You’ll often find me following them around just so I can be part of whatever they’re doing.

I also have a great appetite and am eager to learn, which will make continuing my training a lot of fun. I’m a sweet little companion who finds comfort in simply being near my people, and I can’t wait to have a family of my own to follow around every day.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I’m incredibly friendly with people and absolutely love receiving pets and affection! I’m happiest when I can be close to my humans and soak up all the love and attention they have to give.

I’m also comfortable being picked up and held, making it easy for me to stay close to my favourite people. With my gentle, affectionate nature, I’m a little companion who simply loves being loved.

· With Dogs: I’m friendly with other dogs and enjoy saying hello to new canine friends, but I’m definitely more on the independent side. After greeting them, I usually prefer wandering off and doing my own thing rather than joining in lots of play.

What can I say? I’m a bit of an introvert! I’m perfectly happy sharing my space with other dogs, but I don’t need constant interaction to feel content.

· With Cats: I previously lived with a cat for about a week while staying in temporary foster care and did well sharing my home with them. With proper introductions and a respectful feline friend, I may adjust nicely to living with a cat in my forever home too!

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I’m still working on perfecting my leash manners and may pull at times, but overall I follow my handler’s lead nicely. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs.

I may occasionally bark when I’m looking for attention, but otherwise I’m a pretty quiet boy. I get attached to people easily and find a lot of comfort in being close to my humans. Because I crave companionship so much, I may be prone to developing separation anxiety, so my future family should help me build confidence and independence from the beginning. Gradually teaching me that alone time is safe and okay will help me become a more secure and confident boy.

I’m still learning how to settle calmly in my kennel and will benefit from continued positive practice. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With patience, consistency, and a regular routine, I should continue making great progress.

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:

I’m a little boy who truly craves human companionship and finds so much comfort in being close to people. You’ll often find me following the volunteers and staff around because being near my humans is simply where I feel happiest.

Everyone at the care facility wants nothing more than to see me find the loving home I’ve been waiting for. After everything I’ve been through, I still have so much trust and affection to give.

I know my family is out there somewhere. I’m ready to leave my past behind, give you all the love in my little heart, and finally have someone of my own to follow around every day.
