🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from an illegal puppy mill, where it appears I was used for breeding. Instead of experiencing the love, comfort, and companionship every dog deserves, much of my past was spent in an environment where I was treated simply as a way to produce puppies.

Thankfully, I was rescued and given the chance to leave that life behind. I’m safe now and slowly discovering what it means to be cared for as a beloved family member.

My past may be part of my story, but it doesn’t define my future. Now I’m ready to begin a new chapter and find a forever family who will love me simply for being me.

 

🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺

• All vaccinations up-to-date
• Healthy with no known health issues
• It appears I may have undergone a debarking procedure before I was rescued. Unfortunately, because so much of my past is unknown, we can’t say for certain when or why it was done.

 

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Despite my past, I’m a friendly, bubbly girl who absolutely loves people and continues to trust them wholeheartedly. I’m happiest when I’m close to my humans, whether I’m snuggling on your lap, following you around for attention, or soaking up all the pets you have to give.

The volunteers and staff are always complimenting my adorable round, fluffy face and my naturally happy expression. I always seem to have a little smile on my face, which perfectly matches my cheerful personality.

I love having my people all to myself and would do best as the only dog in my forever home, where I can enjoy all the attention, cuddles, and affection I’ve been waiting for. After everything I’ve experienced, I’m more than ready to be someone’s cherished little companion.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I’m incredibly friendly with people and love receiving pets and affection, even from someone I’ve just met. I’m naturally trusting and comfortable around new people, so I’m expected to adjust quickly and settle nicely into my forever home.

I’m not shy about showing you how affectionate I am either. I may roll over and show you my belly the very first time we meet, and I’m also comfortable being picked up and held. I simply love being close to people and soaking up all the attention they have to give.

· With Dogs: I’m pretty indifferent when it comes to my dog friends. I’m happy to greet new dogs and get along well with the other dogs at the care facility, but after saying hello, I usually prefer doing my own thing rather than joining in on playtime.

I also love having my people’s attention and can get a little jealous when another dog is getting all the affection. Because of this, I would do best as the only dog in my forever home, where I can happily soak up all the love, cuddles, and attention for myself.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I’m still working on perfecting my leash manners and making great progress every day. With continued practice and gentle guidance, I’m sure I’ll keep improving.

I have good manners around food with people and don’t guard my meals or treats from them. However, I can be sensitive when other dogs come near me while I’m eating, so I’ll be happiest enjoying my meals in my own space.

I may bark when I’m looking for attention, and I’m still learning how to settle calmly and comfortably in my kennel. With patience, consistency, and positive practice, I should continue making great progress as I adjust to life with my forever family.

 

🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:

• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment

• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout

• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together

• A family that will love and cherish me forever

• Ideally the only dog in the household

 

💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌

The volunteers and staff can tell that I didn’t have an easy life before my rescue. It appears that I may have had several litters in the past, and I likely spent much of my life giving without ever receiving the love and care I deserved in return.

Despite everything, all I really want is to be loved. I still trust people, seek out affection, and have so much love of my own waiting to be given.

I’m ready for the chapter of my life where I finally get to be someone’s cherished companion. I know my forever family is out there somewhere, and when they find me, I’ll be ready to give them all the love I’ve been saving.
