🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from a crowded city pound where, despite being so young, I had been placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t enough space.

Conditions at the pound were difficult, and with so many dogs and limited resources, I wasn’t able to receive the individual care and attention a young puppy needs. Through all of the uncertainty, I had my sibling Kade by my side, and we relied on each other for comfort and companionship.

Thankfully, rescuers stepped in before it was too late and gave me the second chance I deserved. Now I’m safe and ready to leave those difficult beginnings behind and grow up surrounded by the love, care, and security of a forever family.

 

🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺

• All vaccinations up-to-date
• Healthy with no known health issues
• My second toe on my right front paw angles slightly outward, so additional X-rays were taken.
• The X-rays showed changes to the bone and growth plate that appear to be from a previous injury and the healing process. There are currently no other concerns or abnormalities.

 

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Those dark days are behind me now, and I’m happy to say that the skin infections I had when I first arrived at the city pound have fully healed!

Despite my difficult start, I’m a sweet and trusting pup who still sees the best in people. I can be a little shy when I first enter a new environment, but it doesn’t take me long to settle in and show my true personality.

Once I’m comfortable, I’m a playful and cheerful pup who loves having fun with my dog friends and playing with toys. Whether I’m enjoying playtime with my buddies or entertaining myself with a favourite toy, my happy personality really starts to shine!

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With PeopleI’m incredibly friendly with people and love receiving pets and affection. I’m also wonderful with kids and enjoy soaking up attention from the people around me.

I’m comfortable being picked up and held, and I’m so trusting that I may even roll over and show you my belly the very first time we meet! I’m a sweet, affectionate pup who loves making new human friends.

· With Dogs: I’m friendly with my dog friends and get along well with the dogs around me. Even when another dog gets a little pushy or rude, I prefer to keep the peace rather than get involved in any drama.

I have a gentle, easygoing approach with other dogs and am already learning how to read their social cues. I’m happiest simply enjoying their company and having fun together!

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is still somewhat unknown. During walks, I may look at cats with curiosity when I notice them, but I quickly lose interest and happily continue on my way.

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely. Loud noises can sometimes startle me during walks, and when I feel scared, I may lie flat on the ground until I feel safe enough to continue. With patience and reassurance, I’m able to recover and keep going.

I have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I also know how to settle down and rest calmly in my kennel.

For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With a consistent walking and potty routine, I tend to prefer doing my business outside.

I also have lots of experience participating in events, so I’ve become more comfortable being in environments with plenty of people around. Sudden or unfamiliar situations can still surprise me at first, but I adjust well and am a resilient pup. Give me a little time to take everything in, and I’m usually able to settle and adapt nicely.

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:

• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment

• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout

• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together

• A family that will love and cherish me forever

• Understanding I’m a young pup and will need continued guidance and training

Have I mentioned just how adorable I am? With my sweet face, lovable personality, and irresistible charm, it’s pretty hard not to fall in love with me!

I’m just as lovely on the inside too. I’m affectionate with people, friendly with my dog friends, and have a gentle nature that makes me such a wonderful little companion. I’ve already experienced a lot for such a young pup, but I continue to show how adaptable and resilient I can be.

I’m still learning and growing, so I’ll need a family who will continue helping me build my confidence and experience the world at my own pace. In return, you’ll get an incredibly cute, sweet, and loving best friend who is ready to fill your home with plenty of affection and adorable moments!
