🏡 MY RESCUE STORY 🏡
My story began in Taean, where my mom gave birth to me and my siblings.
Sadly, instead of growing up together somewhere safe, we were each tied up separately near a mountainside and left there. We were at risk of being sold off to anyone who would take us, without knowing what kind of future was waiting for us.
Thankfully, we were rescued before that could happen.
Now those days are behind me. I’m safe, surrounded by people who care for me, and finally getting the chance to simply be a puppy.
My next adventure? Finding a forever family to follow around, love, and call my own. 🤎

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I’m Toffee!
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I really love people.
I’m an affectionate, friendly little guy who happily approaches both familiar people and complete strangers. Once I like you, don’t be surprised if you suddenly have a tiny shadow following you everywhere! Sometimes I’ll curl up in a cozy corner for a little alone time, but if you come over to see what I’m doing, I’ll happily pop right back out to greet you and ask for affection. I enjoy being touched, I’m comfortable being gently picked up, and once I’m really relaxed with you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly. And then there’s my appearance. I seem to have gotten the best of both worlds from my Dachshund and Terrier sides—adorably short little legs paired with a soft, fluffy Terrier-like coat. Apparently, I’m cute in photos, but people who meet me say I’m even better in person. I’m the kind of puppy who makes people smile just by being myself.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I’m very friendly and affectionate with people, including those I’ve just met. I enjoy approaching people for attention and affection and am comfortable being gently touched and picked up. Once I’m especially comfortable with you, I may roll over and show you my belly.
· With Children: I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so we don’t know exactly how I would interact with younger kids. Gentle and supervised introductions would be best.
· With Dogs: I’m generally social and interested in other dogs. I happily approach both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. However, if another dog becomes confrontational, I may respond rather than simply move away. Because of this, introductions with unfamiliar dogs should be calm, gradual, and supervised.
· With Cats: I haven’t had enough experience around cats yet for us to know how I would behave living with one. Slow and supervised introductions would be important if my future family has a cat.
⚡ MY ENERGY LEVEL ⚡
I have a moderate energy level and enjoy a nice balance between activity and relaxation.
I like going outside, exploring, playing, and discovering new things. Once I’ve had enough activity, though, I’m able to settle down and relax.
I’m still only seven months old, so I naturally have plenty of puppy curiosity and playfulness. My energy level and personality may continue to develop as I grow.
🦮 MY WALKING SKILLS 🦮
I’m currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash.
Sometimes I pull because the world outside is still full of exciting things to investigate, but overall, I follow my person well.
I’m still young and learning, so continued positive reinforcement and consistent practice will help me develop even better leash manners.
And since I already enjoy being around people so much, learning and exploring together can be another great way for us to bond.
🏠 MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS 🏠
For a young puppy, I’m already showing some wonderful qualities.
I’m generally very quiet and rarely bark, and I settle calmly when I’m in a kennel.
I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. Since I’m still young, my future family should continue helping me establish a consistent potty routine as I adjust to my new home.
I also show no food guarding toward people or other dogs.
Sometimes I like finding a cozy corner and relaxing by myself, but don’t mistake that for wanting to be left alone! Come over and say hello, and there’s a good chance I’ll immediately come out to greet you and ask for some love.
🌱 WHAT I’M STILL LEARNING 🌱
I’m only seven months old, so there’s still plenty for me to learn.
I’m continuing to work on leash manners, potty routines, household expectations, and all the little skills that come with growing into a wonderful family dog.
I’ll also benefit from continued positive socialization with other dogs. I enjoy meeting them, but because I may respond if another dog challenges me, my future family should help me practice calm and respectful introductions.
I already have a wonderful foundation: I’m affectionate, social, comfortable with people, and eager to be part of whatever my humans are doing.
With patient and positive guidance, I have so much potential.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
Because I’m still young and adaptable, I could potentially thrive in many different types of homes.
What I’d really love is a family who wants their dog to be part of everyday life. I’m naturally drawn to people and enjoy following them around, so having humans who enjoy my company as much as I enjoy theirs would make me very happy.
I could potentially live with a compatible canine sibling, although thoughtful introductions and respectful interactions would be important.
My future family should be ready to continue my training, give me opportunities to explore and play, and provide plenty of affection and quality time.
Most importantly, I’m looking for somewhere I can finally feel secure knowing that I belong.
✨ WHY YOU’LL LOVE ME ✨
It might start with my looks. My tiny Dachshund-like legs, fluffy Terrier coat, and sweet little face make for a pretty irresistible combination. People say my photos are cute—but apparently, you really have to meet me in person to understand just how adorable I am. But my looks aren’t even the best part. I’m a people-loving little boy who wants to be wherever you are. I’ll follow you around, happily accept your affection, and occasionally retreat to my cozy little corner—only to come bouncing back out as soon as you come looking for me. I’m sweet, social, affectionate, and just a little bit silly. My life may have started tied up on a mountainside, but that’s not where I belong. I belong somewhere I can follow my favourite people around every day—and know they’ll never leave me behind. 🤎
