🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued from a heartbreaking situation of severe neglect at a poorly managed city pound, where many of us were left without proper care. Conditions were so terrible that we went 64 hours without food, leaving us hungry, helpless, and facing a life-threatening situation.
Thankfully, compassionate people in the community spoke up, reported the terrible conditions, and fought to get us the help we desperately needed. Because of their efforts, my friends and I were rescued just in time and given a second chance at life.
Those difficult days are finally behind me, and now I'm ready to begin a new chapter filled with love, safety, and happiness. All I'm missing is a forever family who will give me the care and love I've always deserved!
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
I’m an adorable little Terrier mix with a bright, cheerful personality and plenty of charm! Although no one knows exactly what my life was like before I arrived at the city pound or how I ended up there, one thing is certain: I have so much love to give!
I still have plenty of puppy energy and enjoy exploring my surroundings, having fun, and of course, enjoying tasty treats! Treats are definitely one of the quickest ways to win my heart.
Despite spending time at a city pound where I received very little care or attention, I haven’t lost my trust in people. In fact, I absolutely love being around humans and happily soak up all the affection and attention I can get!
With my sweet personality and love for people, I’m ready to leave my difficult beginnings behind and discover all the wonderful things life has to offer with a loving family by my side!
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I’m incredibly friendly and absolutely LOVE meeting new people! I have so much affection to give, and I’m always eager to make new friends and soak up all the attention I can get.
When rescuers first arrived at the city pound, I was so desperate for love and attention that I eagerly approached them, practically begging to be noticed and taken somewhere safe. Despite everything I had been through, I still trusted people and wanted nothing more than to be close to them.
I’m such an affectionate little pup that I’ll even roll over and show you my belly when we first meet, hoping for some extra belly rubs! I’m also comfortable being picked up and held, and I happily welcome all the pets and cuddles you have to offer.
I truly adore people, and I can’t wait to have a forever family who will shower me with the same love and affection I’m so eager to give!
· With Dogs: I’m friendly with other dogs and enjoy greeting new canine friends, but I’m also a little independent and usually prefer doing my own thing rather than constantly playing or socializing.
I’m a true peacekeeper at heart! Even when other dogs get a little pushy or rude, I prefer to calmly walk away and avoid getting involved in any doggy drama. I’m not interested in starting arguments and would much rather keep things peaceful and enjoy my own space.
With my easygoing attitude toward other dogs, I’m perfectly happy sharing my space with canine friends who respect my boundaries!
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I can pull on leash at times, but overall I follow my handler’s lead well. I can occasionally get scared during walks and may lie flat on the ground when something makes me nervous. With patience and gentle encouragement, I can continue building my confidence.
I have good manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from people or other dogs.
I currently don’t show signs of separation anxiety, but because I form strong attachments to people, gradual alone-time training is recommended to help me develop independence as I settle into my new home.
I may bark occasionally when I want attention, but I settle down quickly and know how to rest calmly in my kennel.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment
• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout
• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together
• A family that will love and cherish me forever
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
Despite being so young, I've already been through more than any puppy should ever have to experience. The volunteers and staff know how difficult my beginning was, and they want nothing more than to find me a wonderful forever home where I'll finally receive all the love, care, and happiness I deserve.
But don't let my difficult past fool you! I'm a happy-go-lucky little pup with a bright, cheerful personality and so much love to give. I absolutely adore people and love making new friends, always eager to greet everyone and soak up plenty of affection.
And have you noticed my adorable little white paws? They look just like I'm wearing tiny socks! I think they add a little extra charm to my already irresistible looks.
I'm still a young pup with so much potential ahead of me. With a patient, loving family to help me continue learning and building my confidence, I know I can blossom into a wonderful companion.
I've already been given a second chance at life, and now I'm ready for the best part of my journey: finding a family to call my own. I just know the right people are out there somewhere, and I can't wait to meet them!
