🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from a city shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance and the opportunity to experience kindness and care. Now, I’m leaving that uncertain chapter behind and looking forward to a brighter future filled with love, companionship, and a forever family to call my own.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Hi, I’m Mazinga! I’m a handsome young boy with a rich brown coat, a striking dark muzzle, and a wonderfully elegant build. Among my littermates, I have the most prominent dark colouring around my face, giving me a distinctive look that makes me stand out. I have a rather noble appearance for such a young pup, almost as though I’m getting ready to live up to my heroic name.

I can be a little cautious when meeting someone for the first time. But I’m certainly not impossible to win over—in fact, there’s one thing that makes becoming my friend surprisingly easy. Treats! I absolutely LOVE food, and my enthusiasm for something tasty can quickly outweigh my initial hesitation. Give me a few delicious snacks and a little time, and you’ll see me start to relax. Once I feel comfortable, I’m happy to be petted, handled, and picked up.

Despite my age, I have a surprisingly calm and composed personality. There’s something rather dignified about the way I carry myself, especially with my long legs and proud little stance. I may look like a brave guardian ready to protect the world, but underneath that impressive appearance, I’m still a young puppy who can be won over by a handful of treats! That contrast between my noble looks and my very food-motivated personality is part of what makes me so endearing.

I’d love a family who can appreciate my quieter personality and give me opportunities to discover the world beyond the shelter. I might not be the first puppy to rush into a stranger’s arms, but I have a gentle, promising nature and plenty of potential waiting to unfold. With my striking dark muzzle, handsome silhouette, and enormous enthusiasm for snacks, I’m ready to begin an adventure of my own. My name might belong to a hero, but what I’m really hoping for is something much simpler: a family and a home where I can finally grow up feeling safe and loved.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but tasty treats are a great way to win me over! I’m happy to accept treats, and it usually doesn’t take long before I warm up and feel comfortable being petted. Once I get to know and trust you, my affectionate side comes out—I may even roll over and show you my belly! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.

· With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally get along well with dogs around my own size. However, if another dog challenges or provokes me, I may respond rather than back away, so calm, careful introductions and close supervision are important when I’m meeting new friends.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.

I’m still practicing my walking skills, and with continued training and consistent guidance, I can keep building on my good leash manners.

I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs.

When there’s something I really want, I may use a little barking to let you know, but with consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate.

I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel

I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.
