🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was rescued from a Poodle breeding facility, where my life had been shaped by circumstances beyond my control. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance to experience kindness, comfort, and the care every dog needs. Now, I’m leaving that chapter behind and looking forward to a brighter future filled with love, companionship, and a forever family to call my own.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I’m Chups! I’m an incredibly tiny little girl with a delicate appearance and a gentle, somewhat reserved personality. My coat is currently quite short, but I’ll become an especially beautiful little girl once my soft curls grow back. I may not be the most outgoing dog you’ll meet, but there’s something incredibly endearing about my quiet nature and the way I’m gradually learning to feel comfortable around people.
When I first meet someone, I can be a little shy and uncertain about how to interact. I’m curious enough to approach, but I’m not quite ready to shower everyone with affection or enthusiastically demand attention. Human touch still feels a little unfamiliar to me, so I appreciate gentle movements and being given time to understand what’s happening. Fortunately, I have a weakness for tasty treats! Offering me something delicious is a wonderful way to break the ice, and I tend to become more comfortable once I realize that the person in front of me is someone I can trust.
One of the sweetest things my rescuers have noticed is how I respond to being held. Although I’m still learning to feel comfortable with physical affection, I find reassurance when I’m gently cradled in someone’s arms. Rather than being overly playful or demanding, I settle close and appear to take comfort in that feeling of security. It’s a quiet, touching glimpse of the companionship I may come to enjoy more fully as I become familiar with a loving home. After everything my small body has been through, I’m ready for a home where I can finally be cared for just because I’m me.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but tasty treats are a great way to win me over! I’m happy to accept treats, and it usually doesn’t take long before I warm up and feel comfortable being petted. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown.
· With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I generally prefer a friendly greeting rather than engaging in play. I don’t show much interest in interacting with other dogs beyond a quick hello and am usually content doing my own thing around them. If another dog tries to provoke me, I typically choose to walk away and avoid conflict rather than engage.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward.
I’m currently working on my leash skills and getting used to going on walks. With continued practice, patience, and consistent guidance, I can gradually become more comfortable and confident on my walks.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I rarely bark
I am calm and settled when I’m in a kennel
I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
Because my experiences with people have been limited, I’m still learning what it means to receive affection without expectations or pressure. I have the potential to become a deeply devoted companion once I’ve had the chance to build trust, but I’ll need patience rather than being rushed into unfamiliar interactions. A calm environment, predictable routines, gentle handling, and positive reinforcement will help me discover that human companionship can be something safe and enjoyable.
My tiny size also means I’ll need a little extra consideration in everyday life. Careful handling, a comfortable resting space, and protection from rough play or overwhelming situations will be especially important while I settle in.
