🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
My name is Nutella, but I used to be called Yeogeum.
In 2024, I was rescued from a dog farm in Geumsan County, South Korea, where I had been living in neglect. Instead of experiencing the warmth of a loving home, I spent my early years in an environment where comfort, safety, and kindness were far from guaranteed.
When rescuers found me, I had scars on my face and was suffering from heartworm disease. Although the details of my past are unknown, the marks I carried were a heartbreaking reminder of the difficult life I'd experienced.
Thankfully, kindhearted rescuers stepped in and gave me a second chance. I received the medical care I needed, completed my heartworm treatment, and have since tested negative.
Now, I've been given a new name: Nutella!
My rescuers chose to give me a fresh start as I begin searching for my forever family. Just like my sweet new name, I'm a gentle, lovable girl with a wonderfully warm personality.
Despite everything I've been through, I've never lost my kindness toward people or other dogs.
My past may have left a few scars, but it hasn't changed the sweetness of my heart. Now, I'm ready for a new chapter filled with the love I've always deserved. 🤎

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I'm Nutella!
I'm an incredibly sweet, gentle, and easygoing girl with an adorable round figure, a beautiful brown-and-black coat, and the kindest personality you could imagine. My rescuers say I'm almost unbelievably good-natured. I'm the kind of dog who seems to have nothing but kindness in her heart. And apparently, I'm even cuter in person than I am in photos! I'm very affectionate with people, including those I've just met. I happily approach new friends, lean against them for affection, and enjoy being petted. I don't need much convincing to make a new human friend. If you're kind to me, chances are I'll be leaning against you before you know it! But while I'm wonderfully social, there's also a more sensitive side to me.
Because I've had very limited experience living in a home, unfamiliar environments and unexpected noises can sometimes feel frightening. Sudden sounds, squeaky toys, and unfamiliar noises may startle me, and I can become nervous when something catches me off guard. Sometimes, I simply need a little time to understand that everything is okay. The wonderful thing is that I generally adjust well once I've had a chance to settle in. My rescuers believe I have the kind of gentle, adaptable personality that could make me a lovely companion in many different homes.
I'm a sweet, affectionate girl who loves people deeply, even though I'm still learning that the world around me can be safe.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I'm very friendly and affectionate with both familiar people and strangers. I happily approach new people, rub against them, and allow them to pet me. I can also be picked up with proper support. Although unfamiliar situations may make me nervous, I genuinely enjoy human companionship.
· With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Because sudden noises and movements can frighten me, gentle, supervised introductions would be especially important.
· With Dogs: I'm generally friendly and peaceful around other dogs. I politely greet unfamiliar dogs but don't usually initiate play. I've shown positive interactions with dogs my size and smaller, although I haven't yet been observed with dogs larger than me. I tend to avoid confrontation, and having another dog nearby often helps me feel more secure.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave around them. Careful introductions and supervision would be necessary.
⚡ MY ENERGY LEVEL ⚡
I have a moderate energy level, making me a lovely balance of an outdoor companion and a relaxed friend at home.
I enjoy going for walks, exploring my surroundings, and spending time outside.
After I've had some exercise, I'm generally happy to settle down and rest.
I'm not a dog who needs constant excitement. I appreciate peaceful moments just as much as I enjoy a nice walk.
Because unfamiliar noises can sometimes frighten me, I may feel more comfortable starting with quiet, predictable outings before gradually exploring busier environments.
With the right balance of activity, relaxation, and reassurance, I can enjoy a happy and fulfilling routine.
🦮 MY WALKING SKILLS 🦮
I already have good leash manners and generally walk nicely alongside my person.
Sometimes I may pull a little when there's a particular direction I'd like to explore, but I'm usually easy to guide and respond well when redirected.
There's one important thing my future family should know, though.
Sudden movements, unfamiliar noises, or unexpected sounds during walks can startle me. When I'm frightened, I may try to dart away or struggle to escape the situation.
Because of this, secure walking equipment and careful leash handling will be especially important, particularly while I'm adjusting to a new environment.
I'd benefit from calm walking routes, patient encouragement, and gradual exposure to unfamiliar sights and sounds.
I already know how to enjoy a lovely walk. I just need someone who will help me feel safe along the way.
🏠 MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS 🏠
I have some wonderful habits that could make me a lovely companion.
I'm generally very quiet and rarely bark.
I also show no food guarding toward people or other dogs, and I'm usually calm when placed in a kennel.
When it comes to potty habits, I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas.
Although I haven't had much experience living in a traditional family home, I have a naturally gentle and cooperative personality.
My rescuers have noticed that I can adapt to unfamiliar places fairly quickly once I begin feeling comfortable.
However, some household experiences may still be new to me. For example, squeaky toys and sudden noises can be surprisingly frightening. Things that other dogs might find exciting may initially make me nervous.
I'll need a family who understands that learning about home life is a process and who can help me build positive associations with everyday experiences.
With consistency, reassurance, and a peaceful routine, I have wonderful potential to become a comfortable and happy family companion.
🌱 WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING 🌱
I'm considered a Level 2 Rescue Dog, and my future family should be prepared to give me extra patience and support as I adjust to a new home.
Even though I'm extremely friendly with people and other dogs, I'm still learning to feel confident in unfamiliar environments. Having spent much of my life without the experiences of a typical family dog, there are many everyday things I haven't had the opportunity to understand.
A squeaky toy, a sudden noise, or an unexpected movement can sometimes frighten me. When I'm startled, I may freeze, become nervous, or try to move away from whatever is scaring me. That doesn't mean I don't want to explore the world. It simply means I need a little help discovering that unfamiliar things aren't always dangerous.
My future family can help by introducing new experiences gradually, keeping routines predictable, and rewarding calm, confident behavior.
I would also benefit from a secure environment and thoughtful management during my adjustment period, especially on walks.
One of my greatest strengths is that I genuinely enjoy people and often find comfort in the presence of other dogs.
I already know how to love and trust. Now I just need someone to help me feel brave.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
My ideal home would be filled with patience, kindness, and a sense of security.
I'm a very affectionate girl who loves human companionship, so I'd be happiest with people who enjoy spending time with their dog and giving plenty of gentle affection.
Because unfamiliar noises and sudden movements can frighten me, a relatively calm and predictable home environment would be especially helpful during my adjustment.
I'd love a family who understands that confidence isn't something that develops overnight.
Some days, I might be ready to explore somewhere new. Other days, I may need a little extra reassurance. Both are okay.
I could also potentially benefit from living with a calm, friendly, and compatible dog. I've shown that I feel more secure when other dogs are nearby, and a confident canine companion may help me adjust. However, I'd still need thoughtful introductions and support from my humans.
A family experienced with rescue dogs, especially those who have had limited socialization or can be sensitive to unfamiliar sounds, would be wonderful.
Most importantly, I need someone who sees beyond my fears and recognizes the incredibly sweet dog underneath them.
✨ WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME ✨
Maybe it'll be my adorable round figure, beautiful brown-and-black coat, or sweet face that first catches your attention. And if you think I'm cute in photos, just wait until you meet me in person! But what makes me truly special isn't something a camera can capture.
It's my heart.
My rescuers describe me as one of the sweetest, most gentle dogs you could ever meet. I'm friendly with strangers, affectionate with people I know, and peaceful around other dogs. Even after spending years in neglect, I still approach people with warmth and trust. I have scars on my face, and sometimes unfamiliar sounds remind me that the world can be a frightening place. But those moments don't define who I am. I'm also the girl who happily leans into people for affection, quietly enjoys her walks, and finds comfort simply being near those she trusts.
For a long time, I was known as Yeogeum. Now, I have a new name and the chance to begin a completely different chapter. Nutella.
A sweet name for a sweet girl who deserves a life that's finally as gentle as she is. I don't need a perfect home or a life filled with grand adventures. I just want to feel safe. I want to know that the people around me will always be kind, that unexpected sounds don't mean danger, and that I never have to face the world alone again.
I've spent so much of my life learning how to survive. Now, I'm hoping to find a family who will teach me what it means to simply be loved. 🤎
