🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
My story began in Yangpyeong County, South Korea, where I was rescued in 2025 alongside another dog named Ttorong.
At the time, I had been left neglected and tied to a rope only about one meter long, with barely enough freedom to move around.
Ttorong, who was rescued alongside me, had suffered a terrible traffic accident that left his hind legs paralyzed.
Neither of us was living the safe, comfortable life that every dog deserves.
Thankfully, kindhearted rescuers stepped in and brought us to safety, giving us a chance to leave those difficult circumstances behind.
Since then, I've been discovering a world filled with new people, interesting places, and opportunities to experience kindness.
Despite my difficult beginning, I've grown into a wonderfully affectionate, gentle, and charming boy who genuinely enjoys human companionship.
I may still need a little reassurance in unfamiliar environments, but my heart is always ready to make new friends.
I once lived with only a meter of freedom. Now, I'm dreaming of a lifetime of adventures with a family who will never leave me behind. 🤎

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I'm Douglas!
I'm an absolutely adorable Jindo-Corgi mix with soft brown fur, short little legs, and the cutest round, fluffy bottom you could imagine!
My rescuers say I'm one of those dogs who looks even more handsome and charming in person than in photos.
With my unique combination of Jindo features and Corgi-like proportions, I have a look that's impossible not to love.
But my personality is just as wonderful as my appearance.
I'm a sweet, affectionate boy who genuinely enjoys being around people.
I can be a little cautious when I first enter an unfamiliar environment, but I usually warm up quickly, especially when someone offers me a tasty treat.
Once I feel comfortable, I'm happy to approach people, lean against them, and enjoy gentle affection.
I'm also friendly toward men, including those I've just met, and I generally don't take long to make new human friends.
One of my best qualities is how eager I am to connect with people.
I already know commands like sit and wait, and I'm happy to show off my good manners!
I may have a slightly shy side in new situations, but underneath it is a cheerful, loving little boy with so much personality.
I'm a sweet, cuddly, short-legged gentleman who's ready to become someone's very best friend.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I'm friendly and affectionate with both familiar people and strangers. I may be a little shy at first, especially in unfamiliar surroundings, but I usually warm up quickly with treats and gentle encouragement. I'm comfortable being petted and can be picked up with proper support. I've also shown positive interactions with men.
· With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13 yet, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Gentle, supervised introductions would be important.
· With Dogs: I'm generally friendly with dogs around my size. I'll approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, although I don't usually initiate play. I also tend to feel more secure when other dogs are nearby. However, I can become protective of my food around other dogs, so mealtimes will need to be managed carefully.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave around them. Slow introductions and supervision would be important.
⚡ MY ENERGY LEVEL ⚡
I have a moderate energy level and enjoy a nice balance of outdoor activity and relaxation.
I like going for walks, exploring interesting places, and spending time with my people.
Once I've had enough activity, I'm generally happy to settle down and enjoy some quiet time.
I'm not a dog who needs constant excitement, but I do enjoy having opportunities to explore and stay active.
Since unfamiliar environments can initially make me a little cautious, I may appreciate starting with familiar walking routes before gradually exploring new places.
I'd love a family who enjoys daily walks, playtime, and relaxing together afterward.
🦮 MY WALKING SKILLS 🦮
I'm still working on walking politely on a leash.
I sometimes pull when something catches my attention, but overall, I follow my person well.
With consistent practice and positive reinforcement, I can continue improving my leash manners.
Because I may feel a little unsure in unfamiliar environments, patient encouragement will help me become more confident during walks.
I already have a good foundation, and I'm looking forward to exploring the world with my future family!
🏠 MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS 🏠
I already have several lovely habits that will help me adjust to family life.
I know how to sit and wait, and I generally settle calmly when placed in a kennel.
I'm also comfortable using both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas.
During my profile assessment, I didn't show any indoor marking behavior, which is a positive sign!
However, because I'm a male dog entering a new environment, I may still mark indoors while adjusting. My future family should be prepared to reinforce appropriate potty habits.
I can sometimes bark when I want something, so continued training will help me learn calmer ways to communicate.
One important thing to know about me is that I really love food!
I'm very food motivated, which can make treats a wonderful training tool.
However, I can also become protective of my meals around other dogs.
I don't guard food from people, but if another dog approaches while I'm eating, I may growl to ask them to stay away.
Because of this, I should be fed separately from other dogs, with enough space to enjoy my meals without feeling pressured.
My future family should also manage high-value treats and chews carefully in a multi-dog home.
With thoughtful routines and positive reinforcement, I can continue developing good household manners.
🌱 WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING 🌱
I'm considered a Level 2 Rescue Dog, so I may need some extra patience and guidance as I adjust to unfamiliar environments and experiences.
Although I'm naturally affectionate and friendly, new surroundings can sometimes make me a little reserved.
The good news is that I usually warm up quickly once I realize I'm safe!
Treats, gentle encouragement, and a predictable routine can help me feel comfortable.
I'm also continuing to work on leash manners, appropriate communication, and settling into new household routines.
One area where I'll need consistent management is food-related resource guarding around other dogs.
Because I love food so much, I can become uncomfortable when another dog approaches my meal.
This doesn't mean I can't live with other dogs, but my future family will need to understand my boundaries and provide separate, peaceful feeding spaces.
I should never be pressured to share my food or punished for growling, as growling is an important way for dogs to communicate discomfort.
With appropriate management and reward-based training, my family can help me feel more secure around mealtimes.
I already have so many wonderful qualities. I just need a family who will help me build confidence and continue learning at my own pace.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I'd love a warm, patient family who enjoys spending time with their dog and appreciates a sweet, affectionate companion. I'm friendly with people, including strangers, and I generally warm up quickly once I feel comfortable.
Because unfamiliar environments can initially make me a little shy, I'd appreciate a family who gives me time to settle in without rushing me.
I'd enjoy daily walks, opportunities to explore, and plenty of affection.
I could potentially live with a friendly, compatible dog, especially since I often feel more comfortable when other dogs are nearby.
However, separate feeding arrangements would be essential because I can guard my food around other dogs.
A family who understands canine body language and respects my boundaries would be especially wonderful.
I'd also benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help me improve my leash manners and adjust to life in a new home.
Most importantly, I want a family who sees me for the sweet, loving boy I am and is excited to give me the safe, happy life I've always deserved.
✨ WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME ✨
Let's start with the obvious. I'm ridiculously cute!
With my short little legs, soft brown coat, and adorably round bottom, I have the kind of appearance that makes people smile before I even do anything.
And according to my rescuers, I'm even cuter in person!
But my looks are only part of what makes me special.
I'm a gentle, affectionate boy who loves people and enjoys making new friends.
I might be a little shy when I first arrive somewhere unfamiliar, but give me a few treats and a little reassurance, and you'll quickly discover how sweet I can be.
I already know how to sit and wait, enjoy spending time with people, and have a wonderful balance of playful curiosity and relaxed companionship.
My story didn't begin the way it should have.
In 2025, I was found tied to a rope only about one meter long, alongside Ttorong, a dog who had suffered a devastating accident.
Back then, my world was painfully small.
But being rescued gave me something I hadn't had before: a chance.
A chance to explore new places.
A chance to experience kindness.
And most importantly, a chance to find a family of my own.
I don't need anything extraordinary to be happy.
Just a safe home, a comfortable place to rest, delicious meals, daily walks, and people who will love me for the rest of my life.
I once had only a meter of space to call my own. Now, I'm hoping to find a family who will give me a whole world of love. 🤎
