🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
My story began in a rural area of Sinan, South Korea, where I was found living in neglect.
I was rescued from the same place as Bomul, another rescue dog who was recently given a second chance at life.
Before rescuers stepped in, I was at risk of being taken to a dog slaughterhouse. At such a young age, my future was already terribly uncertain.
Thankfully, I was rescued before that could happen.
Instead of facing a life filled with fear and neglect, I was finally given the opportunity to experience kindness, safety, and the possibility of a loving home.
Although I'm still just a puppy, I've already experienced more uncertainty than any young dog should have to face.
But despite my difficult beginning, I've remained an incredibly gentle, sweet, and trusting girl.
My rescuers say that underneath my slightly serious expression is a lovable puppy who simply wants to feel safe and loved.
I was almost denied the chance to grow up. Now, I'm hoping to spend the rest of my life discovering how wonderful the world can be. 🤍

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I'm Dahui!
I'm a beautiful white Jindo mix with an adorably round face, a slightly serious expression, and the sweetest personality hiding underneath.
My rescuers often laugh because I look so serious in photos, almost as if I'm thinking about something very important!
But once you get to know me, you'll discover that I'm actually a gentle, affectionate puppy who still seems to think she's much smaller than she really is.
At 37.5 pounds, I'm already a fairly big girl, but sometimes I act like a tiny baby who just wants someone to love her.
I can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially in unfamiliar environments.
But there's a very easy way to become my friend: treats!
I absolutely love food, and a few tasty snacks usually help me warm up quickly.
Once I feel comfortable, my affectionate side begins to shine.
I'll happily roll over to show my belly, enjoy gentle attention, and let you see the sweet, playful girl behind my serious little face.
And here's something my rescuers find especially adorable: I seem to have a particular soft spot for men!
I'm not afraid of male caregivers and have even shown a preference for their attention.
I'm also very gentle and cooperative with people. My rescuers describe me as a sweet, responsive girl who enjoys following their guidance.
Although I'm still young and have plenty to learn, I have a lovely attention span and respond well to food rewards, making me a promising little student.
I may look serious on the outside, but inside, I'm just a big baby with a gentle heart and so much love to give.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but I'm very food motivated and usually warm up quickly with treats and gentle encouragement. Once I trust you, I become affectionate and may roll over to show my belly. I'm comfortable being picked up with proper support and have shown especially positive interactions with men.
· With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13 yet, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Because I'm still a young dog learning appropriate manners, gentle and supervised introductions would be important.
· With Dogs: I'm generally peaceful and polite around other dogs. I may approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I don't usually initiate play and often prefer to mind my own business. Very energetic dogs can make me uncomfortable, and I generally choose to avoid confrontation rather than engage. I'd do best with dogs who respect my space and boundaries.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave around them. Careful introductions and appropriate supervision would be important.
⚡ MY ENERGY LEVEL ⚡
I currently have a moderate energy level, which is a lovely balance for a young puppy.
I enjoy outdoor activities, walks, and opportunities to play, but I'm also surprisingly calm and gentle for my age.
Once I've had enough exercise and mental stimulation, I'm generally happy to settle down and relax.
My rescuers say I'm a wonderfully well-mannered puppy who can be playful when given the opportunity but doesn't need to be constantly on the move.
Of course, I'm still only eleven months old, so my energy level and exercise needs may continue to develop as I mature.
As a Jindo mix, I'll benefit from regular physical activity, mental enrichment, and opportunities to explore the world safely.
With a balanced routine, I can enjoy both exciting adventures and peaceful moments at home.
🦮 MY WALKING SKILLS 🦮
I'm still learning how to walk politely on a leash, but my rescuers say I'm already doing quite well!
I sometimes pull when something catches my attention, but overall, I follow my person and respond to guidance.
For a young rescue dog with limited life experience, I've shown a wonderful willingness to learn.
With consistent practice, positive reinforcement, and a little patience, I can continue developing better leash manners.
I'd love a family who will help me build confidence while introducing me to new sights, smells, and experiences at a comfortable pace.
🏠 MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS 🏠
Even though I'm still a puppy, I already have some wonderful qualities.
I'm generally quiet and rarely bark without a reason.
I may occasionally bark when I want something, but I'm not typically a very vocal dog.
I'm also calm when placed in a kennel, which is a great foundation for continued crate training.
When it comes to potty habits, I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas.
I'll still need consistency and guidance as I adjust to a new home, but I've already started developing useful habits.
One thing my future family should know is that I really love food!
I'm very food motivated, which makes treats an excellent tool for training and building trust.
I don't guard my food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I'm eating.
Because of this, I should be fed separately from other dogs in a peaceful space where I can enjoy my meals without interruption.
My future family should also manage high-value treats and chews carefully around other dogs.
Although I'm naturally gentle and responsive to people, I'm still young and will need continued guidance as I learn household routines and boundaries.
With patience and positive reinforcement, I have wonderful potential to become a well-mannered family companion.
🌱 WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING 🌱
I'm considered a Level 2 Rescue Dog, so I may need extra patience, guidance, and time as I adjust to a new home and unfamiliar experiences.
Although I'm naturally sweet and gentle, I haven't had all the opportunities that a typical puppy might have had to explore the world and build confidence.
I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but I usually warm up quickly with treats and gentle encouragement.
Once I feel safe, I begin showing my affectionate and playful side.
I'll also need continued training in leash manners, household routines, polite communication, and building confidence in new environments.
Another important area is learning to feel comfortable around other dogs during mealtimes.
Because I can become protective of my food, my future family should provide separate feeding spaces and respect my boundaries.
I'm also not particularly comfortable around very energetic dogs, so calm introductions and positive experiences will help me feel more secure.
The good news is that I have a lovely attention span and a strong love of treats, which can make learning new skills especially rewarding.
My rescuers say I'm a very typical Jindo in appearance and temperament, with a gentle, thoughtful personality and a wonderful willingness to follow human guidance.
I'm still a young girl with so much to learn, but I have all the sweetness and potential needed to become an amazing companion.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
My dream home would be filled with love, patience, and people who understand that I'm still growing up.
Although I'm already a fairly big girl, I'm only eleven months old and still very much a puppy at heart.
I'd love a family who will help me build confidence, teach me good manners, and give me plenty of opportunities to learn about the world.
Because I'm naturally gentle and a little shy at first, I'd appreciate people who let me settle in at my own pace.
Once I feel comfortable, I'll happily show my affectionate side and enjoy plenty of belly rubs!
I'd do well with a family who enjoys regular walks, positive reinforcement training, and spending quality time with their dog.
I could potentially live with a calm, compatible canine companion who respects my space.
However, very energetic dogs may overwhelm me, and separate feeding arrangements would be important because I can guard my food around other dogs.
A family familiar with Jindos or rescue dogs would be wonderful, especially one that understands the importance of patience, consistency, and positive socialization.
Most importantly, I need people who will see beyond my slightly serious expression and recognize the sweet, loving puppy underneath.
✨ WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME ✨
At first glance, you might think I'm a very serious little lady.
With my beautiful white coat, round face, and thoughtful expression, I sometimes look like I have very important things on my mind.
But don't let my serious face fool you!
Underneath it is a sweet, gentle puppy who loves treats, enjoys affection, and still seems to think she's a tiny baby.
My rescuers say I'm one of those dogs who becomes more lovable the longer you spend time with her.
I may be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a few treats and some patience, and you'll soon discover my affectionate side.
Once I trust you, I'll happily show you my belly and enjoy being close to you.
I'm also a wonderful little student.
I have a good attention span, love food rewards, and respond well to gentle guidance.
And despite being only eleven months old, I'm surprisingly calm and well-mannered for a puppy.
But behind my sweet personality is a story that could have ended very differently.
I was found neglected in a rural area of Sinan, South Korea, and was at risk of being taken to a dog slaughterhouse.
I was rescued alongside Bomul, another dog who had been living in the same difficult circumstances.
I was still just a puppy when my future became so uncertain.
But thankfully, someone stepped in before it was too late.
Now, I have the chance to experience all the things I almost missed.
A warm home.
A comfortable bed.
Long walks with someone who loves me.
A family who will laugh at my serious little face and remind me every day that I'm safe.
I've already survived the hardest part of my story.
Now, I'm ready for the beautiful part to begin.
I may look like a serious grown-up dog, but I'm still just a puppy waiting to be loved. All I need is a family who will give me the chance to grow up happy, safe, and cherished. 🤍
