🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
My story began at the Gurye Municipal Shelter in South Korea, where I was placed on the euthanasia list alongside my siblings, Kare and Ppore.
We were still just puppies, with so much life ahead of us, yet our futures were already uncertain.
Thankfully, rescuers stepped in before it was too late and gave us the second chance we desperately needed.
Since being rescued, I've been showing everyone just how much happiness and love I have to share.
Despite my difficult beginning, I've remained an incredibly cheerful, trusting, and affectionate little girl.
My rescuers say I'm the gentlest of my siblings, with a wonderfully innocent personality and a heart that seems to have room for everyone.
I don't hesitate to approach new people, and I greet even complete strangers as though we've been friends forever.
It's almost as if I've been waiting my whole life to meet people who will love me.
My story could have ended before it truly began. Instead, I was given a second chance, and now I'm hoping to spend the rest of my life sharing my happiness with a family of my own. 🤍

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I'm Merang!
I'm an adorable little white Jindo mix with the sweetest face, the most charming folded ears, and a wonderfully cheerful personality.
My rescuers say my little ears are one of my cutest features.
They flop and flutter as I move, making me look even more playful and adorable!
But my appearance isn't the only thing that makes me special.
I'm a bright, innocent, and incredibly gentle little girl who seems to see the good in everyone.
Some dogs need time to warm up to strangers, but not me!
I happily approach people I've never met before, lean against them for affection, and act as though we've known each other forever.
My rescuers often laugh because I seem to greet everyone like an old friend.
I'm equally comfortable around men and women, and I absolutely love receiving attention.
And if you happen to have treats, that's even better!
I LOVE treats!
I'm very food motivated, which makes getting to know me easy and can be a wonderful advantage when it comes to training.
Although I'm still a puppy, I have a surprisingly gentle and easygoing personality.
Among my siblings, Kare and Ppore, my rescuers describe me as the calmest and sweetest.
I'm not the type to look for trouble or start arguments.
I'd much rather enjoy a peaceful day, spend time with my favorite people, and explore the world at my own pace.
Of course, I'm still young, so I have plenty of things to learn and discover.
But with my loving personality, cheerful spirit, and eagerness to connect with people, I have a wonderful foundation for becoming an amazing family companion.
I'm a little girl with fluttering ears, a sunny personality, and a heart that seems to love everyone she meets.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I absolutely love people! I'm friendly and affectionate with both familiar faces and complete strangers. I happily approach new people, lean against them, and enjoy being petted. I'm also comfortable around men and can be picked up with proper support.
· With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13 yet, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Because I'm still a puppy, gentle introductions and appropriate supervision would be important.
· With Dogs: I'm generally peaceful and polite around other dogs. I may approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I don't usually initiate play. I'm not the type to provoke other dogs, and I generally choose to avoid confrontation when another dog challenges me. However, I do appreciate having my personal space respected. My sibling Ppore can sometimes be a little too enthusiastic, and I don't always enjoy it when she becomes overly pushy.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave around them. Slow, supervised introductions would be important.
⚡ MY ENERGY LEVEL ⚡
I have a moderate energy level, which means I enjoy a lovely balance of activity and relaxation.
I like spending time outdoors, exploring new surroundings, and enjoying walks with my people.
But once I've had enough activity, I'm generally happy to settle down and relax.
Although I'm still a puppy, I'm not constantly looking for excitement.
My rescuers describe me as naturally gentle and easygoing, especially compared to my siblings.
Of course, I'm still growing, and my energy level may change as I mature.
I'll benefit from regular exercise, mental enrichment, and opportunities to explore the world safely.
I'd love a family who enjoys daily walks, gentle playtime, and plenty of peaceful moments together.
🦮 MY WALKING SKILLS 🦮
I'm currently learning how to walk on a leash, and my rescuers say I'm doing a wonderful job so far!
Although I'm still new to leash training, I've been following guidance well and making steady progress.
There's still so much for me to learn about the world outside, but I'm approaching these new experiences with my usual cheerful attitude.
With consistent practice, patience, and positive reinforcement, I can continue building confidence and improving my walking manners.
Since I love treats so much, food rewards can be especially helpful during training.
I'd love a family who will continue teaching me how to enjoy walks safely and confidently.
🏠 MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS 🏠
Even though I'm still a puppy, I already have some lovely habits.
I'm generally a quiet girl who rarely barks, making me a peaceful little companion.
I'm also calm when placed in a kennel, which provides a great foundation for continued crate training.
When it comes to potty habits, I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas.
Of course, I'll still need consistency and guidance as I adjust to a new home and routine.
One thing my future family should know is that I'm very food motivated.
I absolutely love treats, and they can be a wonderful tool for helping me learn new skills.
However, I may growl if another dog approaches while I'm eating.
I don't guard food from people, but I prefer having my own space during mealtimes.
Because of this, I should be fed separately from other dogs in a quiet, comfortable area where I can enjoy my meals peacefully.
I'm naturally gentle and cooperative, but I'm still young and will benefit from continued training in household routines, boundaries, and appropriate manners.
With patience and positive reinforcement, I have wonderful potential to become a well-mannered family dog.
🌱 WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING 🌱
I'm considered a Level 1 Rescue Dog, and although I'm naturally friendly and affectionate, I'm still a young puppy who has plenty to learn.
I'll need continued guidance as I adjust to life in a new home and develop good everyday habits.
I'm currently working on leash training, and my rescuers say I've been following along very well.
I'll also benefit from continued potty training, basic obedience, and learning how to settle comfortably in different environments.
Because I'm so friendly with people, I'd love opportunities to build positive experiences with new places, sounds, and routines.
When it comes to other dogs, I'm generally peaceful and prefer to avoid conflict.
However, I don't always enjoy overly pushy interactions, so it's important that my future family respects my boundaries and helps me have positive, well-managed introductions.
I'll also need separate feeding arrangements if I live with other dogs, as I can become protective of my food during mealtimes.
Thankfully, I have a wonderful advantage when it comes to learning.
I absolutely love treats, and I'm naturally eager to connect with people!
With consistent guidance, positive reinforcement, and plenty of encouragement, I have a great foundation for learning new skills.
I'm still discovering the world, but I'm ready to learn everything I need to know with a loving family by my side.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
My dream home would be filled with kindness, patience, and people who appreciate my gentle, cheerful personality.
I'm an affectionate little girl who loves human companionship, so I'd be happiest with a family who enjoys spending quality time together.
Whether we're going for a walk, practicing new tricks, or simply relaxing at home, I'll be delighted to be included.
Because I'm still a puppy, I'll need a family who understands the importance of continued training and positive socialization.
I'd love regular walks, opportunities to explore, and plenty of affection.
I could potentially live with a calm, compatible canine companion, especially one who respects my personal space.
Although I'm generally friendly with other dogs, I don't always enjoy overly enthusiastic interactions, and I can become protective of my food during mealtimes.
Separate feeding spaces and thoughtful introductions would be important.
A family familiar with rescue dogs would be wonderful, but most importantly, I need people who are willing to guide me with patience and love.
I have so much affection to give, and I can't wait to find someone who will love me just as much in return.
✨ WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME ✨
Some dogs have a way of making you smile the moment you meet them.
I think I might be one of those dogs.
Maybe it's my adorable folded ears that flutter whenever I move.
Maybe it's my sweet little face or my wonderfully cheerful personality.
Or maybe it's the way I approach complete strangers as though they're already my best friends.
My rescuers say I have one of the most innocent and gentle personalities they've ever seen.
Among my siblings, Kare and Ppore, I'm known as the sweetest and most easygoing.
I don't need to be the center of attention or the loudest dog in the room.
I'm simply happy to be around people, enjoy a few tasty treats, and share my affection with anyone willing to receive it.
But my cheerful personality makes my rescue story even more meaningful.
I was once a little puppy at the Gurye Municipal Shelter, facing euthanasia alongside my siblings.
At an age when I should have been discovering the world, my future was already uncertain.
Thankfully, someone saw that my story deserved to continue.
Now, I have a second chance.
A chance to explore the world beyond the shelter.
A chance to learn what it means to belong to a family.
A chance to experience all the little joys that every dog deserves.
I'm still young, and there's so much of life I haven't experienced yet.
But one thing is already certain.
I have so much love to give.
I don't need anything extraordinary.
Just a family who will be patient as I learn, smile at my silly little ears, and welcome me into their hearts.
I almost lost my chance at life before it truly began. Now, I'm hoping someone will give me the chance to spend the rest of it being loved. 🤍
