🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from an illegal dog meat farm, where my future was uncertain and I hadn't been given the chance to experience the safe, loving life every dog deserves. Thankfully, kindhearted rescuers stepped in and gave me a second chance at a brighter future.

Since my rescue, I've been given the opportunity to leave my difficult past behind and discover a world filled with kindness, care, and new experiences. I'm learning that life has so much more to offer, and I'm hopeful that the best days are still ahead of me.

Now, I'm ready for the most important chapter of my journey: finding a forever family who will love me unconditionally, keep me safe, and cherish me as a true member of the family. My past may not have been easy, but I'm looking forward to a future filled with love, happiness, and wonderful memories together!

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but underneath my shyness is an incredibly sweet and gentle boy who genuinely loves being around people. For most of my life, all I knew was the tiny cage I was confined to at the dog meat farm. Despite my difficult past, I still have so much trust and love to give.

Now that I'm safe, I'm slowly discovering a whole new world, one little step at a time. Everything is still new to me, so I sometimes need a little patience and reassurance as I build my confidence. But with time, kindness, and encouragement, I know I'll continue blossoming into a wonderful, loving companion!

I've already made so much progress at the care facility! I've opened up to the volunteers and staff, and I now happily greet familiar faces with a wagging tail and plenty of excitement. It's heartwarming to see how much more comfortable I've become, and I can't wait to share that same happiness and affection with my future forever family!

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but I respond well to gentle approaches and a little patience. I tend to feel more comfortable around women than men, so I appreciate having time to build trust at my own pace.

Despite my initial shyness, I'm a sweet boy who enjoys affection once I feel safe. I allow myself to be picked up, and when I'm comfortable with you, I may even roll over and show you my belly! With kindness, reassurance, and a little time, my loving personality begins to shine through.

· With Dogs: I'm a friendly boy who gets along well with my dog friends! Even when other dogs are a little too pushy or excited, I tend to stay calm and do my best to keep the peace. I'm a gentle soul who would much rather get along with everyone than get involved in any disagreements.

Because of my past experiences, I find a lot of comfort and reassurance in the company of other dogs. Having a furry friend by my side helps me feel more secure as I continue discovering the world around me.

I would do especially well in a home with a friendly, confident dog sibling who can show me the ropes, help me build my confidence, and be my companion as I settle into my new life. Having a dog friend to learn from would make this exciting new chapter feel a little less overwhelming!

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. 

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I'm still working on my leash manners, but I'm making steady progress and getting better with each walk! With a little patience, practice, and encouragement, I'm learning how to become a more confident walking companion.

I don't show any food guarding toward people or other dogs, which is a great quality of mine! I may occasionally bark, but otherwise, I'm a pretty quiet boy. I'm also still learning how to settle calmly in my kennel, so a consistent routine and gentle guidance will help me continue improving.

When it comes to potty habits, I currently do my business both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With a regular walking and potty schedule, I can continue building good habits as I adjust to life in my forever home.

I'm still learning the little things that come with being a beloved family dog, but I'm making progress every day and just need a patient, loving family to help me along the way!

💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌

The volunteers and staff sometimes say my adorable little face reminds them of a goat! I guess that makes me a pretty unique-looking boy, and I like to think it's part of my charm!

I may need a little patience when we first meet, but I promise I'm worth getting to know! Once I start feeling safe and comfortable, my sweet and affectionate personality begins to shine through. I respond best to gentle approaches and love being rewarded with tasty treats, which are a great way to win my trust and encourage me as I learn new things.

For most of my life, my entire world was the tiny cage I was confined to. I never had the freedom to explore, experience everyday adventures, or simply enjoy being a dog. But those dark days are finally behind me, and I'm slowly discovering just how wonderful life can be.

Despite everything I've been through, I haven't lost my trust in people or my ability to love. I just need someone who understands that this big new world can feel a little overwhelming at first and is willing to let me adjust at my own pace.

With patience, kindness, and plenty of love, I know I'll continue blossoming into a devoted and affectionate companion. I have so much life left to experience, and I can't wait to discover it all with a forever family by my side!
