🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
Hi, I'm Jjinbbang! I'm an adorable two-year-old white Jindo mix with a big, round, fluffy appearance and an affectionate personality that's just as lovable as my face. My name comes from a Korean steamed bun, which seems pretty fitting for a round and cuddly-looking boy like me!
My story began at the Miryang Municipal Shelter in South Korea, where I was placed on the euthanasia list. My future was uncertain, and I was running out of time. Thankfully, Welcome Dog Korea stepped in and rescued me, giving me a second chance at life and the opportunity to find a family of my own.
Since being rescued, I've been showing everyone just how friendly, affectionate, and intelligent I can be. I genuinely enjoy spending time with people, and my rescuers describe me as an incredibly charming boy with a sweet personality and a face that's impossible not to love.
Although I still have a few things to learn when it comes to interacting with other dogs, I'm already showing wonderful potential through training. I'm a clever boy who loves treats, has excellent concentration, and responds well to guidance. Now that I've been given another chance, I'm hoping to find a family who will appreciate my affectionate nature and help me continue growing into the best version of myself.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
I'm an incredibly friendly, affectionate, and people-loving boy who enjoys being around humans. Whether you're someone I've known for a while or a complete stranger, I'm generally happy to approach you, lean against you, and receive affection. My rescuers describe me as a very sweet and charming dog who loves human companionship.
One of my most adorable features is my appearance. I'm a big, round, white Jindo mix with a wonderfully cute face that makes me look like a fluffy steamed bun. But despite my larger size, I have a gentle and affectionate side that makes me especially lovable.
I'm also a very clever boy! I already know how to sit and wait, and my rescuers say I perform both commands extremely well. I have an excellent attention span and respond nicely to training, especially when treats are involved. I absolutely love food, but one of my sweetest habits is that I take treats very gently and politely from people's hands.
Although I'm naturally friendly toward people, I can be a little more selective when it comes to other dogs. I don't particularly enjoy overly energetic or pushy dogs, and as I become more confident, I may sometimes try to assert myself around canine companions. My rescuers are planning to work on improving these behaviors through training, and they believe my intelligence and willingness to learn will help me make progress.
I'm a big, round, affectionate boy with a clever mind, a love for treats, and a heart that's ready to belong to someone.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
With People: I'm very friendly and affectionate toward people, including strangers. I happily approach humans, lean against them, and enjoy receiving attention and affection. I'm comfortable with gentle handling and can be picked up with proper support. My rescuers describe me as a naturally people-oriented dog who genuinely enjoys human companionship.
With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13 yet, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Although I'm friendly toward people, appropriate supervision and gentle introductions would be important, especially because of my size.
With Dogs: I'm currently living in a group environment with approximately 40 other dogs, and so far, I appear to be managing group life without major difficulties. I may approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I don't usually initiate play. However, I don't particularly enjoy overly energetic, pushy, or excitable dogs, and I may respond if another dog challenges or provokes me. My rescuers have also noticed that as I become more confident, I may sometimes try to assert myself around other dogs. While I currently coexist with many dogs, my behavior in a home environment may be different, and there's a possibility that I could initiate conflicts with another resident dog. Because of this, careful introductions, supervision, and continued training will be important.
With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave around them. Slow, supervised introductions would be necessary.
⚡ MY ENERGY LEVEL ⚡
I have a moderate energy level, which means I enjoy a nice balance of outdoor activity and relaxation. I like going for walks, exploring new surroundings, and spending time with my favorite people, but once I've had enough exercise, I'm generally happy to settle down and rest.
Although I enjoy outdoor activities, I'm not constantly looking for excitement. In fact, I tend to prefer a more balanced environment and don't particularly enjoy being around dogs who are excessively energetic or pushy.
Because I'm intelligent and highly food motivated, I'd also benefit from mental enrichment activities, interactive games, and regular training sessions. I'd love a family who enjoys daily walks and spending quality time with their dog while also appreciating peaceful moments together at home.
🦮 MY WALKING SKILLS 🦮
I enjoy going for walks and generally follow my handler well, although I can sometimes pull on the leash. I'm still learning how to maintain consistent walking manners, especially when something interesting catches my attention.
Thankfully, I'm a clever boy who responds well to training, and my love of treats can be a wonderful advantage when practicing loose-leash walking. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, I can continue improving my leash manners and learning how to walk calmly beside my person.
I'd love a family who enjoys regular walks and is willing to continue helping me develop good habits while exploring the world together.
🏠 MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS 🏠
I already have some wonderful habits that make me a promising family companion. I'm generally a quiet boy, and my rescuers have mentioned that they haven't observed me barking so far. I'm also calm when placed in a kennel, which provides a good foundation for continued crate training.
When it comes to potty habits, I tend to prefer going outside, although I can also use indoor pee pads. My future family should continue providing a consistent potty routine as I adjust to a new home.
I'm also a very intelligent and attentive boy who already knows how to sit and wait. My rescuers are particularly impressed by my ability to focus during training sessions. I love treats, but I take them very gently from people's hands, showing surprisingly polite manners when receiving food.
One thing my future family should know is that I can become protective of my food around other dogs. I don't guard food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I'm eating. Because of this, separate feeding arrangements would be important in a multi-dog household.
Although I'm currently living peacefully among a large group of dogs, my rescuers have noticed that I may sometimes try to assert myself around other dogs as my confidence grows. This behavior will need continued attention and training, particularly if I'm going to share a home with another dog.
With consistent boundaries, positive reinforcement, and thoughtful management, I have wonderful potential to become a well-mannered family companion.
🌱 WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING 🌱
Although I'm naturally friendly and affectionate toward people, I'm still working on some important social skills when it comes to other dogs. My rescuers have noticed that I can become uncomfortable around dogs who are overly energetic, pushy, or excitable, and I may respond if another dog challenges me.
As I become more confident, I may also sometimes try to assert myself around other dogs. While I'm currently living in a group environment with approximately 40 dogs without major difficulties, my rescuers believe that my behavior could be different in a home setting, particularly when sharing space with another resident dog. Because of this, they're planning to work on improving my canine social skills through structured training.
I'll also benefit from continued leash training, as I sometimes pull during walks. Thankfully, I have excellent concentration, respond well to guidance, and absolutely love treats, which makes reward-based training especially promising for me.
My rescuers are impressed by how well I already perform commands like sit and wait, and they believe my intelligence and willingness to learn will help me continue making progress.
I may still have a few things to work on, but I'm a bright, affectionate boy who's ready to learn with the right guidance and encouragement.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
My dream home would be filled with love, patience, and people who appreciate my affectionate personality and adorable, round appearance. I'm naturally friendly toward humans, so I'd love a family who enjoys spending quality time with their dog, whether we're going for walks, practicing new tricks, or simply relaxing together.
Because I'm still working on my social skills with other dogs, I'd benefit from a family who understands canine body language and can provide consistent training and appropriate boundaries. A home where I'm the only dog may be a particularly good fit, allowing me to enjoy human companionship without the challenges of sharing my space with another dog.
I could potentially live with a calm, compatible canine companion, but careful introductions and ongoing supervision would be essential. My future family should also understand that although I'm currently living among many dogs, this doesn't necessarily mean I'll behave the same way in a home environment. Separate feeding arrangements would be important if another dog is present.
I'd also appreciate a family who enjoys regular walks and can continue helping me improve my leash manners. Because I'm intelligent and highly food motivated, positive reinforcement training could be a wonderful way for us to bond.
Most importantly, I need people who will appreciate my affectionate nature while helping me develop the social skills and confidence I need to thrive.
✨ WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME ✨
Some dogs have a way of making people smile the moment they see them.
I think I might be one of those dogs.
With my big, round, white appearance and adorable face, I look just like the fluffy steamed bun I'm named after. But my appearance is only one of the many things that make me special.
I'm a friendly, affectionate, and intelligent boy who genuinely enjoys spending time with people. I love receiving attention, and I'm always happy to make a new human friend.
I'm also a clever little student who already knows how to sit and wait, and my rescuers say I have wonderful concentration during training. I absolutely love treats, but I take them so gently that it's hard not to smile.
Of course, I still have a few things to learn, especially when it comes to interacting with other dogs. I don't always appreciate overly energetic companions, and sometimes I need guidance in understanding appropriate boundaries. But my rescuers believe in my potential, and they're committed to helping me improve.
My story could have ended at the Miryang Municipal Shelter, where I was once placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, Welcome Dog Korea stepped in and gave me another chance.
Now, I have the opportunity to experience all the wonderful things that every dog deserves: a safe home, regular walks, delicious treats, and people who will love me for who I am.
I may be a big, round boy with a few things left to learn, but I have so much affection, intelligence, and personality to share.
I was once a dog waiting for someone to save my life. Now, I'm hoping to become someone's favorite fluffy companion, bringing warmth, laughter, and love into their home every single day. 🤍
