🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
Hi, I'm Ppogeuri! I'm an adorable 10-month-old Maltipoo with the fluffiest white fur, an irresistibly cute face, and a personality that seems to find happiness in absolutely everything. My story began at a municipal animal shelter in Jangheung County, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, where I was rescued after being abandoned.
It's heartbreaking to imagine how a young puppy like me ended up in such a difficult shelter environment. At an age when I should have been discovering the world, playing with toys, and enjoying the comfort of a loving home, I found myself in a place no puppy should have to experience.
Thankfully, I was rescued and given another chance to experience the life every dog deserves. Despite my difficult beginning, I haven't lost my joyful spirit or my love for people and other dogs. In fact, my rescuers describe me as the very definition of a happy-go-lucky puppy, full of excitement, affection, and curiosity about everything around me.
Now, I'm ready to leave those difficult days behind and find a forever family who will give me the safe, loving, and happy life I've always deserved. My rescuers hope that from now on, I'll get to spend the rest of my life in the best possible environment, surrounded by people who will cherish me as much as I cherish them.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I absolutely love life! I'm a cheerful, affectionate, playful little boy who seems to believe that everyone I meet is a potential best friend and every moment is an opportunity for something wonderful.
My rescuers describe me as the perfect example of a happy, carefree puppy. I'm full of energy, curiosity, and excitement, and I have a special way of making the people around me smile. Whether I'm running up to greet someone, asking another dog to play, or simply enjoying the world around me, I approach life with an enthusiasm that's hard to resist.
I absolutely adore people, including complete strangers! I don't need much time to warm up because I'm usually ready to make friends right away. I'll happily approach you, snuggle close, and ask for affection as though we've known each other forever. I even love showing my belly, sometimes to people I've only just met, because I'm so comfortable sharing my affection.
I'm also a playful little troublemaker in the most adorable way. I love other dogs and frequently invite them to play, sometimes even when they're not particularly interested. Occasionally, another dog might tell me to calm down or give them some space, but that's just part of being an enthusiastic young puppy who's still learning social manners.
My rescuers say I'm the kind of dog who will likely bring happiness wherever I go. With my fluffy appearance, affectionate personality, and endless enthusiasm for life, I have a wonderful ability to brighten the atmosphere around me.
I'm a little bundle of love, laughter, and puppy energy, and I can't wait to share all of it with my forever family!
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
With People: I'm extremely friendly and affectionate toward people, including complete strangers. I love approaching humans, snuggling up close, and receiving attention and affection. I'm comfortable being touched and gently picked up with proper support, and I happily show my belly to people I know well and even to people I've just met. Although I may sometimes bark when I notice an unfamiliar person, I'm generally very people-oriented and eager to make new friends.
With Children: I'm very accepting of children under 13 and generally enjoy their company. My friendly, affectionate personality makes me a promising companion for families with children, although supervision is still important because I'm a playful puppy who can sometimes get carried away with excitement.
With Dogs: I absolutely love other dogs! I'm friendly toward both familiar and unfamiliar canine companions, and I often approach them to say hello and invite them to play. I'm especially comfortable around dogs who are similar to me in size. Because I'm still young and full of enthusiasm, I sometimes continue asking other dogs to play even when they're not interested, which can occasionally earn me a correction from my canine friends. I'm still learning how to recognize when another dog needs space, so continued guidance and appropriate playtime supervision will be helpful.
With Cats: When I encounter cats during walks, I generally remain focused on my person rather than showing much interest in them. However, my behavior around cats in a home environment hasn't been established, so any introductions should still be gradual and supervised.
⚡ MY ENERGY LEVEL ⚡
I have a moderate energy level, although my cheerful puppy personality can make me seem like a little energizer at times! I love outdoor activities, playing with other dogs, and exploring the world around me, but once I've had enough activity, I'm generally happy to settle down and rest.
Because I'm still a young puppy, I have plenty of curiosity and enthusiasm for new experiences. I enjoy having opportunities to play, socialize, and spend time with my favorite people, and I would love a family who can provide a healthy balance of physical activity, mental enrichment, and relaxation.
Regular walks, interactive games, and positive training sessions will help me channel my playful energy while continuing to develop good habits. After a fun day of exploring and making friends, I'll be happy to relax and enjoy some affection from my family.
🦮 MY WALKING SKILLS 🦮
I enjoy going for walks and generally follow my handler well, although I can sometimes pull on the leash or try to head in the direction that interests me most. After all, there's so much to see and explore, and sometimes my curiosity gets the better of me!
Because I'm still young, I'll benefit from continued loose-leash walking practice and gentle guidance to help me understand that walks are something we enjoy together. Positive reinforcement, consistency, and patience will help me develop better walking manners as I grow.
One lovely thing about me is that when I encounter cats during walks, I generally stay focused on my person rather than becoming overly distracted by them.
With regular practice and plenty of positive experiences, I can continue becoming a wonderful walking companion.
🏠 MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS 🏠
Although I'm still a young puppy, I've already developed some useful habits that will help me adjust to family life. I can use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas, although I'll still need a consistent routine as I settle into a new home.
I'm also generally calm when placed inside a kennel, which provides a good foundation for continued crate training. However, I can experience motion sickness during car rides, so my future family should keep this in mind when planning transportation and help me become more comfortable with car travel.
One thing my future family should know is that I may bark when I encounter unfamiliar people. Although I'm naturally very friendly and affectionate, barking can still be part of how I respond to someone new.
I also have a little habit of becoming protective of my food around other dogs. I don't guard food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I'm eating. Because of this, separate feeding arrangements would be important in a multi-dog household.
Since I'm still a puppy, I'm continuing to learn appropriate household manners and social boundaries. My playful enthusiasm can sometimes get the better of me, especially when I'm trying to convince another dog to play, but with consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, I can continue developing into a well-mannered companion.
🌱 WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING 🌱
I'm still a young puppy with a whole world of things to learn! Although I'm naturally friendly, affectionate, and outgoing, my excitement sometimes makes it difficult for me to recognize when another dog isn't interested in playing.
I absolutely love my canine friends and often invite them to play, but sometimes I can be a little too persistent. When another dog tells me to stop, I may need help understanding and respecting their boundaries. Continued supervised socialization with appropriate canine companions will help me develop better social manners.
I'm also still working on my leash manners, as I can sometimes pull or try to choose my own direction during walks. With patience and positive reinforcement, I can learn to walk more calmly beside my person.
Because I may bark when encountering unfamiliar people, I'll also benefit from consistent guidance to help me develop appropriate greeting habits. My future family should also be mindful of my tendency to guard food from other dogs and provide separate feeding spaces when needed.
I'm still learning how to feel comfortable during car rides, too, since I can experience motion sickness. Gentle introductions to car travel and appropriate support will help my family manage this as I grow.
Most importantly, I'm still learning how to navigate the world as a young, enthusiastic puppy. I have so much love and excitement to share, and with patient guidance, I can continue growing into a happy, confident, and well-mannered companion.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
My dream home would be filled with love, laughter, playtime, and people who enjoy having an affectionate, cheerful puppy by their side. I'm naturally outgoing and people-loving, so I'd be happiest with a family who enjoys spending quality time with their dog and appreciates a playful personality.
Because I'm still young, I'll need continued guidance, training, and opportunities to explore the world in a positive way. I'd love a family who enjoys regular walks, interactive play, and helping their puppy learn new things.
I could potentially do very well in a home with another friendly, playful dog, especially one who enjoys having a canine companion of a similar size. However, because I can sometimes be overly enthusiastic and may guard my food from other dogs, thoughtful introductions, supervised playtime, and separate feeding arrangements would be important.
I'd also be happy as an only dog with a family who can provide plenty of companionship, enrichment, and opportunities for appropriate socialization.
Since I'm very accepting of children, I could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids who understand how to interact gently and respectfully with dogs. As with any puppy, supervision will be important to ensure everyone has a positive experience.
Most importantly, I need a family who will appreciate my joyful spirit while helping me develop the manners and confidence I need to thrive. I'm still learning, but I have so much love to give.
✨ WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME ✨
Have you ever met a dog who seems to believe that the entire world is one big, wonderful adventure?
That's me!
I'm Ppogeuri, a fluffy little Maltipoo with a heart full of love and a personality that can brighten even the gloomiest day.
I love people. I love dogs. I love making new friends. And most of all, I love sharing my happiness with everyone around me.
My rescuers describe me as the very definition of a happy-go-lucky puppy. I'm playful, affectionate, endlessly curious, and always ready for my next adventure.
Sometimes I get a little too excited when asking other dogs to play, and sometimes I need a reminder to give my friends some space. But that's part of being a young puppy who's still learning about the world.
What makes my story especially meaningful is where it began.
At just 10 months old, I had already experienced life in a difficult municipal shelter in Jangheung County. My rescuers couldn't understand how such a young, affectionate puppy had ended up there, and they were incredibly relieved that I had been given another chance.
Despite everything, I haven't lost my love for life.
I still greet people with excitement, invite other dogs to play, and approach each day as though something wonderful is waiting just around the corner.
My rescuers hope that from now on, I'll get to experience only the best that life has to offer: a safe home, a loving family, plenty of playtime, and endless opportunities to make happy memories. And I hope so, too.
I may have started my life in a place no puppy should have to experience, but I'm ready to fill the rest of my story with love, laughter, and all the happiness my little heart can hold. 🤍
