🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
Hi, I'm Daye! I'm an adorable 10-month-old Jindo Corgi mix with the sweetest smile, short little legs, and a beautiful white coat. My rescuers say that the combination of my classic Jindo face and adorable Corgi-like proportions is enough to make anyone smile!
My story began at a municipal animal shelter in Jangheung County, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, where I was rescued on October 14, 2026. Life at the shelter was incredibly difficult, and my rescuers describe the environment as chaotic and overwhelming. I was still just a young puppy, yet I had already experienced circumstances that no dog should have to endure.
When I was rescued, I had scratches and visible injuries on my face, reminders of the difficult environment I had been living in. Seeing those marks was heartbreaking for my rescuers, especially because I was such a gentle and sweet-natured girl despite everything I had experienced.
My rescuers were deeply grateful that I had survived those difficult conditions. They were also touched by how lovely my personality was, even after everything I had been through. They hope that one day, when I'm safe and loved in my forever home, those painful memories will become a distant part of my past.
Since being rescued, I've slowly begun discovering the world beyond the shelter. I'm still learning how to feel comfortable around unfamiliar people, places, and experiences, but I'm already showing small, encouraging signs of progress.
Now, I'm hoping to find a family who will help me leave those difficult days behind and discover what it truly means to feel safe, loved, and at home.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
I'm a gentle, sweet, and friendly little girl with an incredibly charming personality. Although I can be a little shy when meeting someone new, I usually warm up quite quickly, especially when treats are involved!
When I first encounter unfamiliar people, I may need a moment to feel comfortable, but once someone offers me a treat and gives me a little reassurance, I'm generally happy to accept affection and gentle handling. My rescuers have noticed that I have a naturally kind and cooperative personality, even though I'm still adjusting to life outside the shelter.
One of my most adorable features is my appearance. I have the beautiful face of a Jindo paired with short, Corgi-like legs, creating a combination that's both unique and irresistibly cute. And when I smile, my rescuers say it's one of the prettiest smiles they've ever seen!
I'm also a very social little girl when it comes to other dogs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with canine friends, and I often seem more relaxed and secure when another dog is nearby. Having a friendly companion can help me feel more comfortable, especially when I'm experiencing something unfamiliar.
Although I'm still learning how to navigate the world, my rescuers believe that once I have the chance to settle into a loving home, my affectionate personality will continue to blossom. They can already see the potential for me to become a wonderfully loving companion once I feel safe and secure.
I may be a little shy at first, but behind my cautious nature is a sweet girl with the prettiest smile and so much love waiting to be shared.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
With People: I can be a little shy when meeting unfamiliar people, but I usually warm up quickly with the help of treats. Once I begin to feel comfortable, I'm happy to accept affection and gentle handling. I can also be picked up with proper support. Although I'm still adjusting to new experiences, my rescuers describe me as a gentle, cooperative girl who becomes more comfortable once she feels safe.
With Children: My behavior around children hasn't been specifically documented, so introductions should be gradual and supervised. Because I'm still learning to feel comfortable in unfamiliar situations, I'd benefit from calm interactions with children who understand how to respect a dog's boundaries.
With Dogs: I'm a friendly and social girl who genuinely enjoys being around other dogs. I happily approach both familiar and unfamiliar canine companions to say hello and invite them to play, especially dogs who are similar to me in size. One particularly lovely thing about me is that I seem to feel more secure when other dogs are nearby. Their presence can help me relax and feel more confident, making canine companionship especially comforting as I continue adjusting to new environments.
With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave around them. Slow, supervised introductions would be necessary.
⚡ MY ENERGY LEVEL ⚡
I have a moderate energy level, which means I enjoy a nice balance of outdoor activities and relaxation. I like spending time with other dogs, exploring my surroundings, and enjoying gentle playtime, but once I've had enough activity, I'm generally happy to settle down and rest.
Because I'm still a young puppy, I have plenty of curiosity about the world, although unfamiliar environments can sometimes make me nervous. I enjoy having opportunities to explore, but I feel most comfortable when new experiences are introduced gradually.
I'd benefit from a family who can provide regular walks, appropriate playtime, mental enrichment, and plenty of opportunities to relax in a safe and comfortable environment. Having a calm, friendly canine companion nearby may also help me feel more secure as I continue building confidence.
🦮 MY WALKING SKILLS 🦮
I'm still learning how to walk confidently on a leash, and this is one of the areas where I need continued guidance. Because I haven't had much walking experience, unfamiliar sights, sudden movements, and street noises can sometimes frighten me.
When something startles me, I may crouch down low to the ground or freeze because I'm unsure of what to do. I can also sometimes try to walk in the direction that interests me rather than following my handler consistently.
However, even when I'm nervous, I still show curiosity about my surroundings. My rescuers have noticed that I'm gradually becoming more comfortable with new experiences, and they plan to continue working on my walking skills through regular training.
My future family should understand that I'm still a beginner when it comes to walks. Rather than expecting me to navigate busy streets or unfamiliar environments confidently right away, I'll need gentle encouragement, patience, and opportunities to practice in quiet, manageable settings.
With consistent positive reinforcement and gradual exposure to new experiences, I can continue building confidence and learning that walks can be enjoyable adventures rather than something to fear.
🏠 MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS 🏠
Although I'm still a young puppy and have only recently been rescued, I've already shown some lovely habits. I'm generally calm when placed inside a kennel, and I can use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. These habits provide a helpful foundation as I prepare to adjust to life in a home.
One of my wonderful qualities is that I don't show food guarding behavior toward people or other dogs. I enjoy treats and accept them happily, which can also make positive reinforcement training especially rewarding.
I'm still learning how to feel comfortable in unfamiliar environments, and having a predictable routine and a quiet, comfortable space where I can relax will help me feel secure as I adjust to a new home.
I also enjoy spending time with other dogs, and my rescuers have noticed that I seem to feel more relaxed and confident when canine friends are nearby. Having appropriate opportunities for socialization and playtime could be especially beneficial for me.
Because I'm still a puppy, I'll need continued guidance around household routines, leash walking, and adapting to new experiences. Thankfully, I'm naturally gentle, friendly, and motivated by treats, which gives me a wonderful foundation for learning.
🌱 WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING 🌱
I'm still at the very beginning of my journey toward becoming a confident family companion. Since I was rescued on October 14, 2026, I've only recently begun experiencing the world beyond the shelter, and there are still many things that feel unfamiliar to me.
One of the most important things I'm learning is how to feel safe in new environments. Sudden movements, unfamiliar noises, and unexpected situations may cause me to become frightened and crouch down low to the ground.
My rescuers are planning to continue working on my walking skills and helping me build confidence through gradual exposure to new experiences. They've already noticed small but meaningful improvements, and I'm slowly learning that unfamiliar surroundings don't always have to be scary.
I'm also still learning how to become comfortable with new people. Although I may initially feel shy, treats usually help me warm up quickly, and once I begin to trust someone, I'm happy to accept affection and gentle handling.
Because I'm still a puppy, I'll also benefit from continued training around household manners, routines, and appropriate behavior as I grow.
One thing that makes my journey a little easier is my love for other dogs. I genuinely enjoy their company and often feel more secure when a friendly canine companion is nearby. Their presence can help me feel more confident as I learn to navigate unfamiliar situations.
My rescuers believe that with the right guidance and a loving home, I have wonderful potential to grow into a confident and affectionate companion.
I may still be learning how to navigate the world, but every small step forward is a reminder of just how much potential I have.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
My dream home would be a calm, loving environment where I can feel safe while gradually discovering the world around me. Because I'm still adjusting to life beyond the shelter, I'd benefit from a family who understands that confidence takes time to build and who will allow me to explore new experiences at my own pace.
I'd love people who are patient, gentle, and willing to continue helping me with leash training and socialization. A predictable routine, positive reinforcement, and opportunities to experience new surroundings gradually would help me feel more secure.
One thing that could be especially wonderful for me is having a friendly, well-matched canine companion. I genuinely enjoy being around other dogs and often seem more relaxed when they're nearby. A calm, social dog could potentially help me feel more comfortable as I adjust to a new home and learn about the world.
However, I could also be happy as an only dog with a family who provides plenty of companionship, gentle encouragement, and opportunities for positive socialization.
Because I'm still young and can become frightened by unfamiliar sights and sounds, I'd benefit from a home where I can gradually build confidence without being overwhelmed. Any introductions to children or cats should be approached carefully, as my behavior around them hasn't been fully established.
Most importantly, I need a family who will appreciate my gentle nature, adorable personality, and beautiful smile while helping me grow into the confident dog I have the potential to become.
✨ WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME ✨
Some dogs have a way of making people smile before they've even done anything.
I think I might be one of those dogs.
My name is Daye, and I'm an adorable Jindo Corgi mix with short little legs, a beautiful white coat, and the sweetest smile you could imagine.
My rescuers say that my combination of a classic Jindo face and Corgi-like proportions is incredibly charming, and they believe I'll be especially memorable to families who haven't seen many dogs quite like me.
But there's something even more special about me than my appearance.
Despite everything I've been through, I'm a gentle, friendly, and sweet-natured girl who still wants to trust people and make friends.
On October 14, 2026, I was rescued from a difficult municipal shelter in Jangheung County, South Korea. I was still just a young puppy, yet I had already experienced a harsh environment that left visible scratches and injuries on my face.
My rescuers were heartbroken to see those marks, especially because I was such a lovely, gentle dog. They were grateful that I had survived, and they hope that one day, when I'm safe in my forever home, those difficult memories will be far behind me.
I'm still learning how to navigate the world. Sometimes unfamiliar noises or sudden movements frighten me, and I may crouch down when something feels overwhelming.
But I'm also curious, affectionate, and eager to make friends.
I especially love other dogs, and I often feel more comfortable when a friendly canine companion is nearby.
My rescuers believe that once I have the chance to settle into a loving home, my sweet personality will continue to blossom, and I may become an incredibly affectionate little companion.
I don't need a family who expects me to be brave from the very beginning.
I just need people who will be patient when I'm nervous, celebrate the little moments when I'm confident, and remind me that I'm finally safe.
I survived a difficult beginning, but my story is far from over. With my little Corgi legs, beautiful Jindo smile, and a heart full of love, I'm ready to take my next steps toward a happier life with you. 🤍
