🍊All About Me☘️
I’m Lily—a sweet, smart girl with stunning brindle fur streaked with black and auburn. At first I can be wary of strangers or new places, and I may growl or give a quick nip when I’m nervous. But with treats, patience, and calm introductions, I warm up quickly and that behavior fades.
Once I trust you, I’m pure love: I follow you from room to room, curl up at your feet when you work, rest my head on your leg for pats, and even lick your knee to say hi. I tilt my head like a “TV dog” when you talk to me and adore belly rubs. I’m playful but polite—perfect for apartment, condo, or house living.
🐕Social Skills🐶
With People: Affectionate and trusting once comfortable. Good with gentle, dog-savvy adults and likely best with older kids (loud noises can startle me).
With Dogs: Very social and playful, especially with bigger pups. No food guarding and enjoys fetch and lick mats with friends.
With Cats: No cats, please.
⚡️ Energy Level
I have a high but balanced energy level—love fetch, play sessions, and outdoor walks, then settle calmly. I’m treat-motivated and quick to learn, making training fun.
🏠 Life at Home
House-trained for outdoor potty. Crate-trained and sleeps well in my kennel at night. I alert bark when strangers approach the door or pass close to windows but stay quiet on walks and at night. Car rides? No problem—I travel calmly.
🩺 My Health
🏠My Ideal Home💕
I grew up tethered in a field, forced to guard crops before I even understood the world around me. My days were filled with pain—the man who owned me beat me with a stick, day and night. When I was first rescued, I didn’t know how to trust people, especially men—and I’m sure you can understand why.
But step by step, I’ve been learning that not all hands hurt. With time and patience, I’ve discovered kindness, and now, I shower the people I trust with love. Yes, I still can trust—because deep down, I never stopped hoping.
Because of my early experiences, I need a calm, understanding home—one where I’m never rushed, but always supported. Here's what would help me feel at ease:
- A patient family who allows me to set the pace as I learn to trust.
- A peaceful environment without too much hustle and bustle.
I’d love a doggy sibling, especially one who’s calm and confident!
I may have come from a place of fear, but I’m on a journey toward love and belonging. If you’re the kind of person who sees not just what a dog has been through, but who she’s becoming—I’d love to meet you. I have so much love to give, and I’m just waiting for the right heart to give it to. 🐾💛
