🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
Hi, I’m Carter, a gentle and quiet dog with a soft heart. I really like people and enjoy their company, but I can be a little shy at first. I have a unique scruffy coat that makes me extra charming, and once I feel comfortable, I show lots of affection and sweetness.
With a little time and understanding, you’ll see my true personality – gentle love and loyal companionship.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I might feel a bit shy when we first meet, but if you offer me a tasty treat, I’ll happily take it and warm up to you quickly. Before long, we’ll be friends and you’ll be able to hold me in your arms and pet me too! I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, but with careful introduction, I’m sure I’ll get along great with them.
· With Dogs: I’m a very friendly dog! I don’t just stick to dogs I know — I’ll happily walk up to new dogs, say hello, and even invite them to play. I’m especially comfortable and friendly with dogs who are around my size, and I enjoy spending time with them. I just love making new doggy friends!
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have moderate energy level – I enjoy outdoor activities like walks and exploring, and after some fun outside, I’m happy to settle down and rest quietly at home.
On walks, I can get pretty excited and pull strongly on the leash when I want to go in a certain direction. But if something unfamiliar appears, I can get scared and crouch down low to the ground. With patience and gentle support, I’ll grow more confident and become a wonderful walking companion!
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I don’t guard my food from people at all. But if another dog comes too close while I’m eating, I might give a little growl to say, “This is my food.”
I may bark when I see someone new — it’s just my way of letting you know there’s a stranger around.
When I’m placed in a kennel, I stay calm and settle down nicely.
I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outside, so I can easily adjust to your routine.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
I’m a dog who would do best in a calm and quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace. Sudden movements—like being picked up or pulled—can make me feel scared, so I appreciate a calm and patient approach
