I was rescued from a high-risk shelter, where my time was running out. Just before it was too late, someone chose to save me—and gave me a second chance at life.

I’m still learning what it means to feel safe, but I’m ready to leave the past behind and start something new.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Hi, I’m Taeo and more than anything, I just love being close to people. I’m gentle, kind, and always ready for affection. I’ll come right up, nudge my face into you, and quietly ask for pets. Being near people feels natural to me, like it’s where I’m meant to be.

I’m waiting for someone who will see me, understand me, and give me the steady love I’ve been waiting for. If you open your heart to me, I’ll stay right by your side.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I’m a very affectionate dog—I don’t just love the people I know, I’ll happily walk right up to new people too, lean in for some cuddles, and let them pet me with ease. You can even scoop me up by supporting me under my belly, and I’m comfortable being held like that.

· With Dogs: I love meeting other dogs and will happily trot over to say hello and invite them to play, even if we’ve just met. However, if another dog comes on too strong or tries to pick a fight, I might respond, so I do best with calm, thoughtful introductions when meeting new friends.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have moderate energy level – I enjoy getting outside and spending time in the fresh air, but I’m not overly energetic. After a good walk or some outdoor time, I’m more than happy to settle down and relax quietly.

I’ve had lots of practice on walks, so I stay close, don’t pull on the leash, and follow my person really well.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I’m very gentle with people around food—I don’t feel the need to guard it. But when I’m eating, I do prefer a little space from other dogs and might give a small growl if they come too close.

If there’s something I want, I’ll let you know with a little bark—I like to communicate in my own way.

I settle down nicely in my kennel and stay calm once I’m inside.

For potty, I can use both indoor pads and go outside. If I’m in a brand new place, I might try to mark at first, but with a bit of guidance, I can learn the routine.
