I was rescued from the euthanasia list at the crowded city shelter, just before my time ran out. Because of that second chance, I’m here today, ready to leave the past behind and find a home filled with love.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Hi, I’m Canne and I’m a soft, sweet girl who just needs a moment to let you in. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I open my heart, I’ll want to stay right by your side. I’m the kind of dog who forms a close, loyal bond and happily follows my person wherever they go. Between dogs and people, I’ll choose people every time. I love being near you, playing with my toys, and quietly sharing moments together. I’m not overly high-energy, and my gentle, calm nature gives me a soft, almost delicate charm.

I may take a little time at first, but once I choose you, I’ll be your devoted little shadow. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a gentle heart and quiet loyalty, I think we could be something really special together.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet but treats help me warm up quickly. Before long, I’m comfortable being petted and staying close. You can also gently lift me by supporting me under my belly—I’m okay with being picked up like that.

· With Dogs: I’ll politely walk up and say hello to other dogs, even if we’ve just met, but I’m not really one to jump into play—I prefer to keep things calm. Dogs with lots of energy can feel a bit overwhelming for me, so I’m happiest around more easygoing companions.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outside and going for walks, but I’m not overly energetic. After a nice outing, I’m more than happy to relax and rest quietly.

I’ve had plenty of experience on walks, so I stay close, don’t pull on the leash, and follow my person really well.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I’m very gentle with people around food and don’t feel the need to guard it. But when I’m eating, I do prefer a little space from other dogs and might give a small growl if they come too close.

When there’s something I want, I’ll let you know with a little bark—it’s my way of communicating.

I settle down calmly in my kennel and rest without any trouble.

For potty, I’m flexible and can use both indoor pads and go outside.

I do have a small habit of letting you know when I’m hungry (I might bark to remind you!), but with a little guidance, I settle down just fine. I enjoy food, but I’m not over the top about it—just enough to keep me motivated and happy.
