🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was abandoned in a house that was already crumbling down, left alone in a place that felt unsafe and forgotten. I’m not sure how I ended up there by myself, but I learned to stay quiet and hidden. Every time I saw someone, I would retreat to a corner, shaking in fear, unsure of what would happen next.

Slowly, kind people began to show me something different. They fed me, gave me space, and cared for me with patience and gentleness. Little by little, I started to open up and trust again. Eventually, I was rescued, and now I’m finally safe—ready to leave those difficult memories behind and begin a new chapter filled with love and security.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

Despite my neglected past, I’m still very trusting of people and truly crave human attention and connection. Volunteers and staff often say that this is my greatest strength—my ability to love and trust again.

I’m still learning my social skills with other dogs, so I do best with slow, steady introductions. With patience and the right guidance, I’ll continue to grow more confident and comfortable.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I’m friendly with people I meet and love receiving pets and affection. I enjoy being the center of attention and can get a little jealous if other dogs are getting it instead of me.

I’ll often show my belly when meeting you for the first time as a sign of trust, and I’m comfortable being picked up. I truly enjoy being close to my people and soaking up all the love I can get.

· With Dogs: I’m generally more neutral with my dog friends. I like to greet new dogs, but I do best with slow, steady introductions so I can feel comfortable. I prefer to observe my surroundings first and take things at my own pace.

Because I can get a bit jealous when other dogs receive attention, I would thrive best as the only dog in the home where I can have that special one-on-one bond.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have moderate energy level – I love going out for walks and getting fresh air, and once we’re back home, I’m happy to rest quietly by your side.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I’m learning and improving my leash skills day by day. In general, I follow my handler’s lead well and feel most comfortable walking in quieter areas. Loud sounds or sudden movements can startle me, and when that happens, I may freeze and lie flat on the ground.

I’m currently working on desensitization training—practicing calmly watching cars and people while being rewarded with treats—which is helping me build confidence little by little.

I have good manners around food with people, though I can be a bit sensitive when other dogs are nearby during mealtimes. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and settle well. I’m also comfortable using both pee pads indoors and going potty outside.

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:

• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment

• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout

• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together

• A family that will love and cherish me forever

• Ideally as the only dog at home

 

💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌

I’m even cuter in person. Despite my neglected past, I don’t let it define me, and I get along well with both people and dogs at the care facility. I just need slow, steady introductions with new dog friends since I can feel a bit overwhelmed at first, but once I settle in, I do very well and enjoy playing with them.

During my profile photoshoot, I was surrounded by volunteers and staff giving me kisses, hugs, pets, and treats—and I loved every moment of it. It really shows how much I enjoy affection and being close to people.
