🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾
I was found roaming the streets alone before eventually ending up at a crowded city pound. No one knows exactly how I ended up by myself, but thankfully I was given a second chance at life. Now, I’m finally safe and looking for a loving forever family to call my own.
🩺 MY HEALTH 🩺
💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖
I can be a bit shy in the beginning and may need a little time to warm up in new environments. That said, I actually adapt quite quickly once I feel safe, and I’m a very curious girl who is eager to learn about the world around me. I also have a big appetite, which makes me easy to train and very motivated to learn new things.
Overall, I’m a gentle and sweet girl who gets along wonderfully with my dog friends. During my profile photoshoot, I was initially a little shy, but before long I warmed up, followed the volunteers and staff around, and happily asked for attention, pets, and affection.
🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶
· With People: I can be a little shy at first, but I absolutely love treats and will happily approach you for snacks and gentle encouragement. I just need a bit of time in the beginning to feel comfortable and build trust. Once I warm up, my affectionate side comes out quickly and I’ll happily follow you around looking for love and attention.
I also allow myself to be picked up, and once I feel safe and comfortable, I love showing my belly as a sign of trust and affection.
· With Dogs: I get along wonderfully with other dogs and love meeting new friends. I tend to do best with dogs of a similar size or smaller, and I’m very good at reading social cues and the energy around me. I’m naturally more of a peacemaker and prefer to avoid conflict rather than engage in it.
One of my absolute favorite activities is running around at the dog park and playing happily with my dog friends. Being around other dogs really brings out my joyful and playful side.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best possible match for my future home. During walks, I may look at cats with curiosity at first, but I usually lose interest quickly and happily continue on my way.
⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️
I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, running around, and having fun exploring, but once I’ve had my activity, I’m more than happy to settle down and relax indoors.
🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠
I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely during walks. I have wonderful manners around food and don’t guard my meals from people or other dogs.
I’m also very quiet overall and rarely bark. In a brand new environment, I may howl a little at first while I’m adjusting, but once I start feeling safe and comfortable, I settle down well. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and relax when it’s time to wind down.
I’m comfortable getting on and off the car by myself, and I currently prefer doing my business outdoors with a consistent potty routine.
🏡 MY IDEAL HOME 🏡
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment
• A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout
• A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together
• A family that will love and cherish me forever
💌 SPECIAL NOTES 💌
Volunteers and staff often compliment how well-behaved, gentle, and sweet I am with both people and every dog I meet. I truly have a soft and kind nature. I just need a little time in the beginning to feel safe and comfortable, but with gentle words, encouragement, patience, and of course treats, I open up surprisingly quickly and come out of my shell beautifully.
I already have a bit of a chubby side because I absolutely love treats and snacks, which also makes me very easy to motivate and bond with.
I can also be a little bit of an escape artist when I’m curious or feeling uncertain, so I’ll do best in a secure, enclosed environment and with thoughtful management when left alone. With structure, reassurance, and consistency, I’ll continue growing into an even more confident and wonderful companion.
