🐾 MY RESCUE STORY 🐾

I was rescued from a crowded city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me a second chance at life.

Now, I'm safe, loved, and ready to find a forever family of my own. I can't wait to start the next chapter of my journey with people who will cherish me and love me forever.

💖 MY PERSONALITY 💖

I can be a little shy when I first enter a new environment and need some time to adjust and feel comfortable. Because of this, I'll do best with a patient family who will let me come out of my shell at my own pace. Once I feel safe, I warm up quickly and my sweet, affectionate personality shines through.

I'm a very smart girl and already know commands like sit and paw. I learned them quickly and enjoy using my brain! I'm also known for being a bit of a drama queen sometimes and may act like something is a much bigger deal than it really is, which always gives the staff and volunteers a good laugh.

When rescuers came to the city pound, I followed them around and practically begged them to take me with them. It felt like I knew this was my chance for a better life. Even then, my loving and affectionate nature was impossible to hide.

Despite my small size, don't underestimate me! I'm incredibly athletic, can jump surprisingly high, and am amazingly fast. In fact, I'm so quick that I've been known to catch flies out of the air. I'm the perfect combination of brains, sweetness, and spunky personality wrapped up in one adorable package.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I can be a little shy in the beginning, but treats are a great way to win me over! I'll happily come up to say hello, take treats gently from your hand, and accept gentle pets while I get to know you.

I just need a little time to feel comfortable before I'm ready for lots of affection. Once I trust you, my sweet personality starts to shine. I love showing my belly when I feel safe and relaxed, and I also allow myself to be picked up. With a little patience and kindness, you'll quickly discover what a loving and affectionate girl I truly am.

· With Dogs: I'm super friendly with my dog friends and absolutely love playing and socializing with them! I enjoy making new canine friends and am always excited to join in on playtime and fun activities.

I tend to get along especially well with larger dogs and enjoy having canine companions to interact with. That said, I can sometimes get a little jealous when other dogs receive a lot of attention and affection. Because I love being close to my people, I may do best as the only dog in the home where I can soak up all the love and attention for myself.

Overall, I'm a social and playful girl who enjoys the company of other dogs while also loving my special one-on-one time with my humans.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.

 

⚡️ ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY ⚡️

I have a moderate to higher energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring, playing, and having adventures. I'm an active girl who loves being part of the action and experiencing everything the world has to offer.

Once I've had my exercise and excitement for the day, I'm more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably with my family. I have a great balance between being active and knowing when it's time to unwind.

Don't let my size fool you—I can jump surprisingly high and am quite athletic! If you're looking for a walking, hiking, or adventure buddy who can keep up with your active lifestyle, I may be the perfect match.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I can pull on leash at times when I get excited, but overall I follow my handler's lead nicely and enjoy exploring the world by their side. I do not guard my food from people, although I can be a little sensitive when other dogs are nearby during mealtimes.

I enjoy communicating with my people and may bark when I want attention or have something to say, but I settle down quickly and don't tend to be overly vocal.

I'm still learning how to settle calmly in my kennel and continue to improve with practice, patience, and a consistent routine. For potty habits, I can use both pee pads indoors and go potty outdoors, giving my future family a great foundation to build on.

I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:

I have so much potential in me, and I know that with the love and support of my forever family, I'll blossom into a wonderful young lady and a loyal companion who will want to be by your side through life's adventures.

I've been through a lot of change in a short period of time. One day I found myself in a city pound, and before I knew it, I was adjusting to life at the care facility. It's understandable that I need a little time to settle into new environments and feel comfortable. Despite all of these changes, I've remained resilient and continue to move forward with hope.

When the volunteers and staff first met me at the city pound, they saw something special in me. They saw my spark, my determination, and my fighting spirit, and they knew I deserved a second chance. Thanks to them, I now have the opportunity to find the loving home I've always deserved.

I truly believe my forever family is out there waiting for me. All I need is a little patience, understanding, and love, and I'll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty, companionship, and affection.
