I was at the city municipal shelter, where I was at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, I was rescued just in time and given a second chance at life. Now I'm ready to leave my past behind and begin a new chapter with a loving family who will cherish me forever.

Hi, I'm Gelato! I may look like the shyest little one at first, but don't let my sweet, innocent face fool you—I have a playful side that's sure to make you smile! I like to quietly observe from a distance when meeting new people or dogs, but the moment treats or mealtime appear, you'll see me confidently race to the front with the cutest excitement. I've discovered that using my adorable little voice at mealtime is a great way to let everyone know I'm ready to eat!

With my petite size, lovable personality, and irresistible charm, I'm sure to steal your heart one tail wag—and one treat—at a time.

 

🐶 MY SOCIAL SKILLS 🐶

· With People: I can be just a tiny bit shy when meeting someone new, but a tasty treat is usually all it takes to win me over! I warm up quickly, happily accept gentle pets, and before long, I'll be enjoying your company. I'm also comfortable being gently picked up, making it easy to care for and cuddle me.

· With Dogs: I love making new dog friends! Whether we've known each other for a long time or we're meeting for the very first time, I'm always happy to say hello and invite them to play.

· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown

I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors on walks and adventures. After I've had some exercise and fresh air, I'm happy to relax and unwind by your side.

I'm currently learning my leash skills, and with a little patience and consistency, I'm becoming a more confident walking companion every day.

 

🧠 TRAINING & HABITS 🧠

I'm happy to share my food with people and don't mind having them nearby while I eat. Around other dogs, though, I prefer to enjoy my meals with a little personal space and may give a gentle growl if another dog gets too close.

If there's something I really want, I might let you know with a little bark—I just like communicating!
