Welcome Dog Korea

September has a special way of reminding us that change can be beautiful. As summer slowly gives way to crisp mornings, golden leaves, and the beginning of a new season, 54 Welcome Dog Korea dogs experienced a beautiful change of their own: they found their forever families. For each of them, September became the first page of a brand-new chapter.

Behind every smiling face in these photos is a story that began long before adoption day. Some journeys were longer than others, and every dog arrived with a different past. But rescue gave each of them the opportunity to move forward—to experience safety, patience, companionship, and the simple joys of being loved while waiting for the family that would one day call them their own.

And just like the changing season, those transformations rarely happen overnight. They happen in the quiet moments along the way: in foster homes where a dog learns what it feels like to belong, on walks where confidence slowly grows, during training sessions and new experiences, and through all the small milestones that may never appear in an adoption photo. Each one brings a rescue dog a little closer to being ready for the life ahead.

None of these September stories would have been possible without the incredible community surrounding our dogs. To our foster families, thank you for opening your homes and giving our dogs the time and care they needed to blossom. To our volunteers, flight volunteers, transporters, and drivers, thank you for helping them safely travel every mile between rescue and home. And to everyone who donated, shared a profile, attended an event, followed a dog's journey, or supported our work in ways big and small—thank you for being part of their stories.

Most of all, thank you to our adopters. Thank you for looking beyond where these dogs began and choosing to become part of where they are going. Adoption isn't simply the happy ending to a rescue story; it is the beginning of an entirely new life together—one filled with first autumn walks, favourite sleeping spots, family traditions, adventures, ordinary days, and countless memories still waiting to be made.

As the leaves begin to turn and we welcome a new season, these 54 dogs are settling into homes where they will get to experience seasons changing again and again—this time with families of their very own. 🍁 Some journeys crossed oceans, some required months of patience, and every path looked a little different. But this September, they all led somewhere wonderful: home.

Here’s to 54 second chances, 54 new chapters, and 54 forever families. Happy tails, September class of 2026. May this autumn be only the beginning of many beautiful seasons to come. 💛
