Sometimes, the smallest gestures leave the biggest paw prints on our hearts. 🐾 On Saturday, September 12, Welcome Dog Korea joined the DOG IS LOVE Market hosted by OUR HARU at STACKT Market for a special day celebrating rescue dogs, second chances, and the incredible community that makes it all possible.
As part of our cozy, hideout-themed booth, we invited visitors to take a moment to write a letter to our rescue dogs. With a simple beginning, "Dear Rescue Dog...", our community filled little hearts, bones, and paw-print cards with words of love, encouragement, and hope. What started as a small activity quickly became one of the most meaningful parts of our day.
Some letters were short and sweet, wishing our dogs loving homes, endless treats, and happy lives. Others shared heartfelt encouragement, reminding them to stay strong and that their forever families were out there waiting. We even received messages from adopters who shared how welcoming a rescue dog into their lives had changed everything for the better. Each letter carried its own personality, but they all shared one beautiful message: you are loved, and you deserve happiness. 💙
One of the most touching parts was seeing people of all ages participate. From little ones drawing hearts and paw prints to adults sharing personal stories and thoughtful wishes, every message was written with genuine kindness. Some made us smile, some made us laugh, and others reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
For many of our rescue dogs, the journey to finding a forever family hasn't been easy. Some have experienced abandonment, neglect, or uncertainty before finally receiving their second chance. While our dogs may never be able to read these letters themselves, the love behind every word represents something incredibly powerful: a community of people cheering them on, believing in their futures, and reminding us that their stories matter.
We wanted to preserve these beautiful messages and share them with our entire Welcome Dog Korea family. Every handwritten note is a little piece of the kindness we experienced that day, and together, they create a collection of hope, compassion, and love for the dogs still waiting for their happily ever after.
To everyone who stopped by our hideout, picked up a pen, and wrote a message, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And a special thank you to OUR HARU for bringing together such a wonderful community of dog lovers and giving us the opportunity to create these meaningful memories together.
