On Saturday, September 12, Welcome Dog Korea joined the DOG IS LOVE Market at STACKT Market, hosted by OUR HARU, for a day dedicated to something we can all agree on: dogs, dogs, and more dogs! 🐶 Surrounded by dog lovers, dog families, dog-focused businesses, and fellow members of the community, it was a wonderfully different kind of event for our team—and one we won’t soon forget.
For the day, we created our own little Welcome Dog Korea hideout: a cozy space where visitors could stop by, discover our rescue dogs, and learn more about the journey each dog takes before finally reaching a forever family. From rescue and foster care to adoption and everything that happens in between, we wanted our space to share not only the dogs waiting for homes, but also the many people and steps behind every successful adoption.
Throughout the market, so many people came by to explore our hideout, look through the stories of our dogs, and learn more about Welcome Dog Korea. We loved having conversations with people who were discovering us for the first time and sharing why rescue, fostering, and adoption matter so much to us.
But one of the most rewarding parts of the day was seeing so many familiar faces. 💙 Adopters, fosters, supporters, and members of our extended Welcome Dog Korea family stopped by throughout the market—and many familiar four-legged faces did too! Seeing dogs who were once part of the rescue journey now enjoying their lives with their families is a special kind of reminder of why we do what we do.
The entire market felt like a celebration of life with dogs. Everywhere we looked, there were people who simply loved dogs and wanted to celebrate everything they bring into our lives. Being able to share our rescue work in a space filled with that kind of energy made the day especially memorable.
A huge thank-you to OUR HARU for hosting DOG IS LOVE and inviting Welcome Dog Korea to be part of such a special gathering at STACKT Market. We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring our hideout to life, our team and volunteers who spent the day with us, and every single person who stopped by our booth, asked about our dogs, shared a story, or simply came over to say hello.
And to all the familiar faces who came back to visit us—thank you. Seeing our adopters, fosters, supporters, and dogs together in one place made the day feel like a true Welcome Dog Korea family reunion. 🐾
DOG IS LOVE was more than a market for us. It was a day to celebrate dogs in every form: the ones already deeply loved, the ones who have found their forever families, and the rescue dogs whose next chapters are still waiting to be written. We left STACKT Market feeling grateful, energized, and reminded once again just how much can happen when a community comes together for dogs. 💙
